The Preserve Golf Club

18 handicap, muni course player here. Visited here in the dead of offseason and the quality of the course is still astonishing, almost the purest greens I’ve ever played on. Course is challenging but forgiving so can definitely be enjoyed by all. If you’re used to local courses, the staff might be overwhelming. They are amazing, but I’m just not at all used to the red carpet treatment they rolled out for us. My only regret is not getting to see it in the spring during full bloom, since I’m only in the area for a short time. If you’re thinking about splurging on a fancy round, this is the place

The Preserve in Vancleave, MS is hands down the best course in the state. Designed by Jerry Pate, it’s 18 holes of pure golf set on more than 200 acres surrounded by natural wetlands and native habitat, which gives it a one-of-a-kind setting. The layout is challenging but fair, with strategic bunkering, wetland carries, and greens that reward good shots without being overly punishing. This place from started at the cart drop until departure. This course as well, as all the practice facilities are great. I was extremely satisfied with everything but my golf ball. Great course and a must play!!

Played on our drive to Florida from Texas. Got a decent amount of rain, but this place is great. Layout is super fun, tee boxes and greens are in perfect shape and green were great. We are already trying to find an excuse to come back and play.

1st class friendly service all the way. The entire staff from Pro to cart service is great. They make you feel welcome and are just super nice folks. Greens were perfect . Course is nice and very playable. Not the toughest track, very enjoyable!

The Preserve Golf Club is our favorite course on the Gulf Coast. It is always in pristine shape. The Staff is always friendly from the time you arrive. Kudos to Chris Champagne and Stephen Miles as well.

What a fantastic track! The customer service is great as is the practice facility. The beautiful layout hides much of the danger that abounds with tons of water and wooded areas to donate any balls you’re looking to rid yourself of. The greens were among the fastest I’ve played at a public course which really complimented the overall design and experience. Highly recommended!

Great course, friendly staff. A good test of golf. Sets of tees for multiple skill levels. Risk/reward holes abound. One of the best courses on the gulf coast.
