In summary

The Rise Golf Club is frequently praised for its stunning views, challenging course layout, and well-maintained conditions, providing a memorable golfing experience. Visitors often commend the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the quality of food and service at the restaurant. However, some guests note the absence of a driving range and occasional slow pace of play as areas for improvement.

I really enjoy playing the rise. Amazing views and it was in excellent condition. Even with a strong wind it was very playable. I don’t want to leave out the very friendly and helpful staff. I wish you could do 4.5 stars because I can’t do 5 as it really needs a driving range. Warm up nets are helpful but just think a course of this calibre needs a range to be 5 stars.

wow this golf course is stunning! they had some of the friendliest staff i've ever encountered at a golf course which made the experience 1000X more fun! from the marshal to the staff in the pro shop, literally every single one of them were so kind and took their time to explain things to our group and chat with us! such a lovely experience. also, randomly, i had the best breakfast sandwich i think i've ever had in my entire life from the bistro before we started our round so truly a 10/10 experience! can't wait to come back!

Great spot. We sat at the bar, had the duck wings and a few beverages — everything was excellent. Food was on point and the service was friendly and attentive. We’ll be back

this place is jaw dropping. truly the most beautiful course. i sat as a ride along for 18 holes and i’d do it again just for the views. started at 3 ended around 730pm. the views are spectacular pics don’t go justice. food and drinks were great, i got the smoked salmon tartare with avocado mousse, it was very flavourful i’ve never had anything like it, bf got the shrimp croissant he also really liked it! considering how snazzy this place is the food prices are actually pretty decent, drink prices are normal. it took a bit for our food to come out, we only got appetizers/small bites, but really…

Went for brunch with the ladies and the restaurant and views were/are amazing!! Brunch on the other hand, mediocre at best :( Ordered the pico Benny, the english muffin was paper thin, Pico was very tasty, eggs were undercooked and hollandaise sauce was very very thin. The "potato" pancake was cold, rubbery with zero crunch or texture and as someone who is a lover of all things potato I was only able to barely get a bite down. Ordered a chai tea and was told how lucky I was as it was the last one! Looked like the "chef" came out and made the rounds to all the tables to chat with the patrons…

Beautiful course but challenging. Play smart you’ll come out alright. 3-4 blind holes keeps you on your toes as. The views were spectacular. Played a solo 4pm tee time and was done by 650pm. Nice carts, easy signage and well kept turf.

The view, service, and prices were great. The food was ok. I’ve had better eggs Benedict at a local diner.

Played: Sept. 28, 2025 The Cream Rises to the Top at The Rise The Okanagan area has been a hotbed for new golf courses over the past three decades, and The Rise is one of the more recent additions. It appears the course has faced some early "growing pains," as past reviews have been mixed. However, our recent experience was nothing short of spectacular, suggesting that the course has truly come into its own and resolved some of its previous issues. The journey to The Rise is not for the faint of heart. The winding, paved road climbs up the side of a mountain, offering dramatic, ever-changing…

Best golf course we’ve ever been on. Every hole is on it’s own which is amazing. The views you have on many holes are just great and after the round you get a drink at the restaurant with a stunning view. Played at 4PM (cheaper) and you get to see the sunset.

Course was fantastic BUT Almost 5 hrs. We were three groups deep on some tee boxes. It is absolutely frustrating when you get these notes in your cart that you are 15 or 20 minutes behind pace and that you better hurry up and you can’t go anywhere and there is not a marshal in sight. We did not see one marshal for the day and perhaps they were short staffed, but the wait was very difficult. It’s hard to get into a routine or rhythm when you’re waiting for 10 minutes on every tee box. Again, the course was great. It played great and greens were true Everything was fantastic about the play excep…

I truly feel that the lower ratings are unfair. If you read the reasons it was “the course was hard”, or “they use GPS and not a Marshall”. If people ignore the slow play alert in your cart (giant screen), won’t those same folks ignore a Marshall? Slow play happens everywhere. The views are outstanding and if you take a bit off your swing you can hit straight and stay on the fairway ;) Will be back.

Update sept 2024, edge restaurant now open , call for reservations!!!! Food is as spectacular as the views. Course in great shape and great fun!! Top course in the area, spectacular views and conditions. Sandwiches at the turn a tasty meal to fuel the round. Can't wait for the new clubhouse to open shortly. It's going to be a sophisticated look. Update aug 2025, Still a spectacular track, see my new photos " views from the tips" boom boom. Restaurant is great, dined there many times already and it is spectacular inside and out.
