In summary

The Woods of Westminster is praised for its friendly staff, unique course layout, and value, offering a golf and lunch deal that many find appealing. The course is generally well-maintained with true greens, though some tee boxes are turf and carts may be outdated. However, several visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play and management practices, which can detract from the overall experience.

Wonderful ownership , kind friendly employees that create the best golf atmosphere in the state . Boat bar and Tiki Hutt’s provide refreshments every few holes ! This place is a must play for any level golfer . I currently have two young kids who play here and Love Rusty the Red lab , course dog/mascot . I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time or even looking for some great food with a great view . Price is right and members are friendly and fun to be around .

Let me start by saying the staff and owners get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The course was in amazing condition after overnight rain. Greens were spotless and true. Challenging track but absolutely fun and not too long for those of us who just don't hit it that far anymore. Thank you for the early tee time and going above and beyond to serve me lunch by 10 AM 😉 I was really in no rush, but doing that got you a customer for life. NOW, if there is a better deal in Massachusetts for 18 holes, cart and LUNCH, please direct me that way. Can't wait to set aside some time to come back. Thanks WOW

If you like turf tee boxes and the owner smelling your gallon of water for booze at 8am without even asking, this place is for you. Just to note, there were lemonade packets and electrolytes in my jug, no alcohol. There was a much better way to go about this, but Dan went about it his own way. I’ve never left a google review in my life, but this felt necessary. I’ll be taking my business to Gardner moving forward where you get much more for a comparable price.

Out of every round of golf I've played in my life this takes the trophy for worst golf experience I've ever had. We golfed Saturday 8/16 and it took 5 hours and 5 min to play 18 with two players. Pulled up to the first hole and there were already three groups waiting to tee off. Luckily we had the earlier tee time so they let us go ahead. As we were waiting for the group who was teeing off to go we went to the car to grab my phone. We passed the pro shop and the guy checking everyone in said "I hope you guys aren't going to get alcohol" as he proceeded to get into his cart and follow us to the…

Great course for the price with a lunch included. Not necessarily the nicest carts or cart paths, but again the value is pretty great. I look forward to playing here more in the years to come!

Pros: Lunch was pretty good and staff was friendly Cons: Terrible Pace of Play (waited on tee boxes for around the same time we were playing golf) Terrible Tee Boxes (either turf or had little to no grass) Slow Greens (Probably slowest greens I have played) Don't see myself going back due to the pace of play. Waiting on tee boxes is normal for most golf courses but to watch people look for balls in the woods for up to 10 minutes and sit on greens talking instead of finishing the hole sucks.

This is just a fun course run by great people. The course itself is always in pretty good to great condition no matter the weather. Many of the tee boxes are turfed but that’s never affected the experience. The golf and lunch deal is hard to beat with good food and great beer options, and at the end of the day you get to deal with some great people. I’d golf here weekly if it was closer to home.

Owner is extremely rude and some of the tee boxes were turf ripped off a field. Old carts with terrible brakes, for a hilly course, not safe. What could be a beautiful course at a good price is ruined by the ownership here. Very unfortunate experience, probably won't be coming back.

Took over 3 hours to get through 9 holes. Allowing 3 separate twosomes with separate tee times out back to back on a holiday should not happen. Asked for a rain check for the back 9 holes that were already paid for and got laughed at. I would not recommend going here unless you have 6+ hours to play.

It's an odd sort of course, which I realize is pretty subjective. One clue is that it's 5500 from the tips. And if you hit it straight you'll do really well. If not, then you'll get hammered. This place reminds me that a golf course doesn't have to be long to be hard. Ok, hard-ish. It's a very positional golf course unless you can hit it far, straight and then plop driver on a green. Or, if you're a regular human, you're hitting tee shots to your preferred approach yardage most of the time. And now for the oddness. A 310 yd par 5 that goes around a corner, a 215 yd par 4 with a hairpin dogleg…

played in a tournament and the course quality was great and the greens and fairways were fairly well-maintained. However, the lunch experience could have been better. Price and quality was great, especially for its value, and the waiting time was not too bad either, but the service was very bad. The woman working at the outdoor bar/patio area was very rude and dismissive to our party. I know this is probably a rare instance since she was talking to other customers and was very nice to others. The younger gentleman seemed to have noticed her demeanor towards our party and became very accommodat…
