In summary

Tides Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the friendly staff and reasonable pricing for a public course. However, many express dissatisfaction with the course's condition, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and overall maintenance. While a few find the layout challenging and enjoyable, the majority highlight significant concerns over the upkeep and value for the price charged.

I would rate this golf course 0 stars in its current condition and rates. We called made a tee time, they did not mention that the greens had been aerated, because it had been over a week since that had done it. They were still in unplayable condition, and the tides still charged full rate for for he round. The fairways had spotty grass combined with weeds and dirt. Some tee boxes were in such bad condition and were so uneven we had to just find flat ground to hit from. The course should have earned us about the condition and should never charge full price for that....

Fairways are completely tore up and in abominable condition. Greens are pretty but slow as molasses I would say they're run like four to five on a stimpmeter you couldn't hit the ball hard enough to get it to the hole. Fairways and greens were also super heavily watered so that every divot was mud. It hasn't rained in here for many days and it's been very warm almost extreme record high temperatures so the water certainly wasn't from Mother Nature. We were first off in the morning, came around on the turn and there was a group of 15 women in the ladies Club that they were allowing to tee off o…

I have been playing The Tides for several years and have found the course to be both challenging and excellent value for the money. The greens are well kept and while some fairways may have the occasional rough spots they are quite acceptable and you soon learn to avoid them. I have found everyone at The Tides to be friendly and accommodating with one exception, the Tuesday bartender, who seem to have developed an extremely bad attitude - an opinion shared by several of my friends. This woman needs to be corrected or replaced, because at present she is a detriment to the club.

Wow where do I start? I sat here and defended this course to one of my buddies for over an hour so we could play. Well, I had to eat some humble pie when we got there. The fairways were 90% dirt and weeds, the greens were like putting on carpet (maybe even worse on certain holes) $35 to play this course is absolutely absurd. The only positive thing I can say is; their Yamaha golf carts are probably some of the nicest I’ve used. Other than that, that course was in such bad shape I could literally do nothing but laugh because it was literally a joke! Now, I understand the hurricane probably did…

Course was in nice shape and the price was really reasonable. The greens were decent although a little slow for my taste (otherwise I would have given 5 stars). Pace of play was perfect.

Played this course plenty of times as I live only 3 miles away. I've seen all the varying states of course condition throughout the year. Greens are always bad. Burnt patches, slow, and bumpy. The fairways have patches of weeds and bare dirt spots. Just overall bad conditions and poorly maintained. I realize this is a public course, but for almost the same money you can play Bardmoor, Belleview, Lansbrook, or a number of other pub courses that won't hurt your score due to conditions. Could be a nice spot if they took care of it or spent the money hire the right grounds crew. Anyone here who th…

The only reason they get 1 star is because the golf carts are the nicest ones I've used, other then that it was garbage. over $30 to play at a golf course that is almost unplayable. 9/10 times you walk on the green you laugh from the condition. 1/2 the time you have to pick up your ball and find a patch of fairway to hit it off of, and whatever fairway there is, is just mowed over weeds.... it's quite pathetic. the green are like putting on carpet. it may just be the location right on the water and in the mangroves that makes it so unmanageable. either way, I would only play here if it was 15…

Friendly staff, course needs some work. But it has been dry, rain would help. Greens are in good shape and true. That why I give it 4-stars. Over all for the price not bad.

Too bad I actually have to put a minimum of a 1 star here just to post. Can't believe this course bumped their prices up to over $60/round for an incredibly poorly maintained course of dirt and barely any fareway grass and fungus greens. Who are the people paying these prices. Can play many courses in the near vicinity for the same or less that are golf courses...and on top of that these actually have a beverage/snack cart and/or can enjoy a bite to eat in the club house afterwards. Shame on you.

Terrible conditions. They should be ashamed. Definitely not worth what they charge. Greens are patchy and bare in places. Around the greens are dry with barely any grass. Staff was friendly, but doesn’t make up for terrible conditions.

Man in Pro shop was as ride as can be. Very arrogant individual. The greens were horrendous. Very bumpy on one long put the ball hoped 4 inches in the air. We were putting on 17 and the sprinklers came on. Will NEVER play here again.

I played "The Tides" a little over a year ago and at that time it was in pretty good shape. Sadly, today 11/10/17 that is NOT the case. First off as soon as we arrived at the club house the strong smell of sour carpet hit us in the face. The whole facility had a very worn and need for upkeep appearance. Caulking in the Men's room was falling out and the floor was well worn. The outside was screamimg for a good cleaning and some paint. Next we moved to the first tee. It was nicely elevated and offered a spectacular and unusual starting hole for any course in Florida. But that is where it stoped…
