In summary

Turtle Hill Golf Course is frequently praised for its scenic layout, challenging elevation changes, and well-maintained greens, which many find to be a great value for the price. The welcoming and friendly staff, along with the peaceful, natural setting, enhance the overall experience for visitors. However, some guests have raised concerns about the condition of the fairways, outdated golf carts, and occasional issues with customer service, particularly regarding military discounts and the handling of crowded play.

It’s sad to see how the course has been affected by a Hog problem. I’ve always enjoyed the layout and the landscape of the area. Greens were affected by hogs and some areas around tee boxes and fairways. Played yesterday and place was empty, never had seen it like this before. We had no idea the course was in conditions this bad and were not told at the pro shop. Hope they can resolve issues soon because it is a nice layout but unfortunately for these reasons I could only give 2 stars.

One of my favorites due to woodsy nature, amazing elevation changes, well manicured greens, and beautiful scenery. It’s about 50 minutes from our home but absolutely worth the trip! We have been here a handful of times and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I also love the wind turbines. Their swoosh sound is quite calming. Lol

This was a surprise find for me today. Fun, challenging, inexpensive course tucked up north of Muenster. Course condition was good, greens were in really good shape, and was the right amount of challenge for me. Is it PGA quality, no. But it’s at least as good as any muni course I’ve played. I’ll definitely add this course to my rotation!

Great course. I'm a beginner golfer and I like trying different courses and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The elevation changes were challenging and the course was in pretty good shape. The staff were amazing and helpful. Me and the wife will be back.

We are new to golf and always try to get the latest times to go. This was our first time at this course and it honestly is the best bang for your buck! As far as scenery, no other course we've been to comes close. Also 2 people contacted us about the late time just to make sure that we knew we probably wouldn't finish. That shows us that they care and when they found out our reasons for going late, they were so nice to us. The carts are a bit old and the hills you have to stay on the brakes pretty hard, but we had so much fun with it and it was quiet and peaceful. Honestly I would pay this pri…

Played in early July 2023, nice rural golf course in scenic area. Decent shape for the time of year, putting greens were very good. Nice people at course, very reasonable greens fee.

I’ve played this course several times. Friends from Texas and I meet there, halfway for all of us. The golf carts are very old, which is part of the quaintness of this course. Challenging and tricky, glorious views, especially from the infamous #11, which has a shrine to the right just off the green. The greens today were the best I’ve ever seen them. Soft and spongy, workers out all over the course watering them as we played. The Marshall was very nice and helpful. Great customer service in the clubhouse from the young lady working today. Players on the course always friendly. It’s a true del…

What can I say. The course is amazing. The greens besides 1 were in excellent condition, fairways were decent. Staff were great. The views and the course layout are great in my opinion.

What's not to say, this is the best golf course in the state of Texas. Many varied hills, tons of slopes, and great long ball play. Staff is excellent. Military are welcome, and discounts are given for both men and women whome served. As well the golf carts are big enough for 2, and carry 2 sets easily. There is room for water , cokes, juices. There are also baskets behind seats, for shoes, towels, ext ..Always love this course. Thank you to the managers and staff here. Spit on exellent.

Great affordable golf course, carts are old but it was a great time. Some great holes and greens. Hole on 18 was nearly impossible on the downhill curve of the green. Great trip with the guys!

Awesome course, good views. The greens are good, they just need to get rid of the old golf carts.
