In summary

Tuscumbia Country Club is praised for its historic charm, challenging narrow fairways framed by mature trees, and recent improvements in course conditions under new management. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and reasonable pricing, though some note that the greens and bunkers still require attention. Criticisms include occasional slow pace of play and limited food options, but overall, the course offers a nostalgic and enjoyable golfing experience.

It is a fair-priced golf course for the quality. I do recommend Tuscumbia, especially if you like narrow fairways. It is heavily wooded due to the age of the course. The photo attached is an example of a wider part of the course. It is very flat compared to average tracks, and the course design is not as dynamic as other courses. That said, you will be challenged as the trees put up a decent defense. They have done a great job with maintenance over the past few years. I commend them on the improvements they have made. One small beef: they need rakes for the sand traps. I do recommend Tuscu…

Tuscumbia has undergone a miraculous recovery in this past year. The greens, once brown and barren, other than spotty weeds, are now green and velvetty. I'm posting a photo of 14 green to show the remarkable improvement since last season, when it was barren other than what we all joked was a stalk of corn :) The sprinkler system has also been restored, so fairways are green and lush and the rough has been maintained at a consistently acceptable height. Tusky is a beautiful course now. You need to go back and check it out. You'll be impressed and happy you did. Or not- I'm loving the openness a…

I've heard this place was rough, but I was pleasantly surprised. Course is pretty good. Couple greens were not perfect but talking to the employees it is a work in progress after it was bought. I've seen worse. Overall I am definitely coming back.

I have played many courses over the last thirty years but have never played on a golf course with full grown weeds on the putting greens. Unbelievably bad conditions on the greens and tee boxes, garbage overflowing in the men’s bathroom in the clubhouse and no food available on the turn. Yet they charge $50 with no apologies for the horrendous conditions

The shape of the course is easily a 1 star. I am giving 2 stars because all the people that work there are nice. The place is a disaster. It is peak summer season and the greens are in worse shape than Normandy after D-Day. There were leaves, tree limbs and weeds spread throughout the property. It was pretty easy to tell that fairway from the rough because the fairway wasn't overridden with clovers. There is no ranger so expect to be stuck in a queue worse than planes trying to land at EAA. Place needs a lot of work. Would not recommend.

They are working hard to update the course. After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous but I will say the course was in good shape and the price was right. This is a walkable course and good for beginner and intermediate golfers as well as any golfer who wants to get out for a relaxed round. I look forward to seeing their continued improvements

Great aerial views of Green Lake. Had a Porter potty for easy access near the road. Pricey of the experience

Nice coarse in Green lake. Was challenging with some very long par 5s. We were there in October on a beautiful day. No beer cart and club house was under construction/renovation. Could do better with signage to entrance and parking from downtown.

I treated myself to a solo round on a Wednesday morning. The course was immaculate, the staff was friendly, and it was a very reasonable rate for 9 holes including clubs and cart. Definitely will be back for a full round of 18!

Fun course and we'll maintained. The old trees really frame the fairways. It would be nice if golfers were reminded of golf etiquette at check in to repair their ball marks on the green. Every green had multiple unrepaired ball marks. That is on the golfers not the maintenance of the course.

Holes are pretty much all straight due to the age of the course. Trees are big and beautifuI due to their age, and course is in great shape except bunkers suck and some greens have some rough spots. Not much of a challenge, but a nice nostalgic round you can appreciate the age and history.

Fairways, greens and tee boxes were in great shape this year. Great job by the maintenance staff! This course places a premium on keeping your ball in the fairway, which are fairly narrow. Hitting left or right off the tee will put you in the middle of many tall, wide, old Oak trees! Our group always enjoy this course and will be back to golf Tuscumbia again!
