Wailea Golf Club

When I called with questions about booking a tee time, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. From the cart girl (I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name!) to Vicki, who got us checked in, everyone made us feel so welcomed. We played the Emerald Course and it was absolutely GORGEOUS! 🌴⛳️ The course was beautiful, well maintained, and such a fun experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to play golf while visiting Maui!

We golfed multiple days over the course of a week. Gold was really tough, well maintained and beautiful. Old blue was well kept, super fast greens and the easiest of the wailea courses. Emerald was by far my favorite. Beautiful views, kept up well the service and staff of the wailea golf courses is the crown jewel. The staff is incredible, friendly, helpful, supportive, encouraging. Just really exceptional people. Thank you to the amazing staff. Really made the experience Memorable.

Wailea Golf Club is the best overall golf experience and courses on Maui. I typically play the Gold and Emerald courses several times a month. From arrival to finish, the entire staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service. The pro shop team is great, and the attendants who get you set up with a cart—and greet you when you finish—set the tone for a well-run operation. The views were incredible throughout the whole course! My boyfriend played the Emerald course because we heard it has the best views and was the second most challenging course. He played great, the staff was super friendly and accommodating! If we come back to Hawaii I can 100% promise we will be back. We played in the morning and it was amazing weather the whole time we were there. We got through pretty quickly, no waiting for anyone ahead as tee times are spaced out perfectly to make it a very enjoyable experience. I absolutely recommend coming here!

Review for the Gold course: First off, this is a beautiful course. You can see the ocean from almost every hole with scenic views. Tee boxes are all nicely kept with lots of grass. Of the Par3's will have divots from the other players, but there are no dead grass areas. The fairways are really great and wonderful to hit off. The grass is nice and full, with no bald spots that I could see. The rough here can get thick and a little tricky to hit out of, i should know I was here a lot. The rough tended to shut my face. Played the Gold course and really enjoyed the layout and the conditions were excellent. Course was not busy in the afternoon and no wind! Greens and fairways were in excellent condition, bunkers have lots of sand and I was in quite a few. Great views as well. We had a really excellent time.

The clubhouse offers a fantastic selection of stylish merchandise, and they even provide discounts if you’re staying in hotels in the Wailea area. One unique feature is the special topless cart you take to the driving range. The chipping green is in superb condition, so set aside some time before your round to enjoy it, it will give you a good feel of what the actual greens will be like. This is one of my favorite golf courses on the planet. The course itself is pristine, and the views from every hole are absolutely amazing. The weather is usually perfect too. Everything is very well maintained and absolutely stunning. There is a large driving range and putting green to warm up and practice. The course is challenging with some very long holes. Wailea Gold was 10/10. Highlights: - Greens: phenomenal. Ran fast but fair. Can’t be above the pin but setup rewarded shotmaking. Compare to Kapalua Bay Course with greens that were essentially unplayable - Pace: played early morning sub 4 hours. Felt like a slice of paradise to ourselves, barely saw other players - Staff: everyone was courteous and helpful. Beverage cart was particularly awesome (thanks Tia!) - Design: this is really an interesting test of golf. You need to think your way around the course. I could see good golfers going very low or very high depending on strategy

Played the Emerald course- amazing views on every hole. Tee’d off at 650am while even taking my time and enjoying the views, it only took 3 hours. I was a bit worried what rental club selection they would have. In my experience, the clubs I’ve rented before were all game improvements with only the set PW and SW. I was thrilled to see the selection they had from all the major brands with the various club types like T350s, T200s, and T100s + Vokeys and Scotty putters. Overall, I had a great experience and definitely think it’s worth going for a round.

5 stars for the Gold course, much more difficult and fun than Emerald although not quite the same views. Staff and facilities are great!
