In summary

Maui Nui Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful setting with ocean and mountain views, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable pricing for Maui. The course layout is considered both fun and challenging, with a variety of bunkers and water features. While many appreciate the well-maintained fairways and greens, some visitors have noted issues with uneven tee boxes, hard bunkers, and occasional maintenance concerns such as slow greens and dry conditions.

Beautiful course! Well maintained and mapped out with ample amount of bunkers and water features alike! Can’t have a bad day while golfing on Maui! Absolutely stunning!

Our group of 3 from Minnesota was joined by a gentleman from Washington. The 4 of us had a great time. Never had to wait on another group, rarely saw anyone behind us, and the beverage cart was always there when we needed it. The greens were in good shape and the fairways were beautiful. The price was the most reasonable as well for Maui. We also received 6 free balls with our club rentals.

Excellent course, excellent staff, excellent views, excellent green fees, excellent club rental rate (Callaway clubs) included two sleeves of Callaway balls. We will definitely be back when we return to Maui! Thank you for a memorable golf experience.

TREMENDOUS EXPERIENCE! We are spending the winter in Maui and trying to golf as much as possible. The Maui Nui Golf Course has proven to be ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. We usually tee off before 7:00am and we are finished before 9:30am. Lorinda and Sophie are my two favourite ladies in the Pro Shop. 🥰❤️ Everybody else treats us very well including other pro shop staff, golf cart staff, starters, and maintenance workers. Courtney or Maria (my two favourite beverage cart gals) can also help quench your thirst and provide some necessary “swing oil!” 🍻 Unfortunately, some road construction is happenin…

The good: Very friendly and helpful staff everywhere, but especially Henry and the caddy master crew. Also the cart with snacks and beverages we met twice on our 18 holes was nice. Some nice views of the sea on the back nine. The not so good/bad: A lot of bunkers unfortunately with no sand/ just dirt which was very disappointing. On one hole there was some nice black sand in the bunkers which gave it a nice touch. Some safe zones with the carts seem a bit over exaggerated (tee boxes are 50+yards apart, but you have to stay on the path), but probably necessary due to some people having no clue…

Everything is in bad shape, green are terrible and dry. Rented a set of clubs asked for left handed stiff and got left handed regular flex ‘guess we don’t have them’ but they charge $70 to rent a set lol. Lucky the people are nice. Will not be coming back here ever again.

Great test of golf but playable from all blocks. Economically you can’t beat this course anywhere in Maui. Great friendly staff from the pro shop and on the course. You’ll love playing here.

The course was a good time. We played it twice and had fun both times. They did have a par 5 hole closed on the back nine so you played a little par 3 on the front as a backup. We didn't know this or were told this by the starter which would have been helpful, they did have signs on the door though I noticed later haha. The track is pretty fun plenty of places to lose a ball but felt very fair. The greens are incredibly slow, not sure if it's this time of year or what (memorial day) but they added a few strokes to the scorecard haha. Also the bunkers are pretty hard so just don't try to hit a…

Fun and challenging course. Staff is super-friendly and will help you with anything you need to enjoy your day on this gorgeous, Maui golf course. Course meanders through some nice developments but you never feel like you are hitting through homes. There are views of mountains and/or ocean from almost every hole. The course has a very nice, covered range with Toptracer so you can get an idea of how far you are hitting the ball on Maui before you hit the course. It helped me a lot since I wasn't hitting it quite as far as I normally do in PHX - where the elevation is around 2k ft!

Just went here with my sons in a rainy day. Just tried out the range which was fun. Not all the top tracer screens worked and you need to bring your own tee. We just used they're used set of irons, Sw up to 3 irons and they had 2 drivers which we didn't use because we had no tee. Some of the grips were pretty rough just take a sec to find a comfy one. Mats were in good shape, enough pins and features to aim at and everyone had a good vibe. Kids loved playing angry birds. Its at the end of trip but hope to play the course when the weather is better.

So it gets 5 stars for the price/layout/staff and overall experience. Sure the green could be a little bit better but they weren’t as bad as the reviews state. Don’t be scared off to check this course out. Wish we got to play all 18 but we arrived late. Carts are do in at 6:30 or at least the first were told that so plan accordingly. Look forward to playing it again!

I consider this my home course on Maui. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and make playing here even more enjoyable. I have a Players Card that makes golf more affordable. My last round was 1/4/2025 and the course was in good shape. The greens are very nice and they’ve now opened up the hole on the back nine that was under repair. The driving range has shot trackers for each station, which is a nice bonus. The music playlist out there leaves a lot to be desired and the speakers are old and the music is often too loud and distorted. The driving range mats really need to be replace…
