A hidden gem just outside the city. Despite all the recent rain, the course was in great shape, which was awesome to see. It offers the perfect mix of challenge and playability, with a good balance of straightforward holes and ones that really make you think. I especially enjoyed the elevation changes and doglegs—they add a layer of strategy where shot selection matters more than just aiming for the pin off the tee. We even spotted some wildlife, including a martin and a pair of osprey. Definitely worth the drive—great track!

A Hidden Gem in Alberta – Absolutely Breathtaking! Water Valley Golf Course is hands down one of the most beautiful and peaceful courses I’ve ever played. Nestled in the foothills just outside Calgary, it offers stunning views, tree-lined fairways, and a layout that blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. Each hole feels thoughtfully designed, with just the right mix of challenge and playability. The greens are smooth, the fairways are in great shape, and the course as a whole is incredibly well maintained. What really stood out to me was the setting—every hole feels like a scenic p…

Truly a hidden gem outside of the Calgary region. Water Valley has everything for a great golfing experience. It is a beautiful course with excellent conditions and challenging enough to make you want to come back again and again. Just add a sunny day and make the experience a most memorable experience.

Why aren’t you here? This place is gorgeous and peaceful. The course is unique and every hole is unique. BEST PART? maybe the beer cart isn’t always out but the restaurant is truly fabulous. Julie is the best server. The patio is truly beautiful. Shaun the chef is curating a menu per order no crappy air fried Costco food. The pico and chips are genuine. The tacos on Friday; $4 for 3???? What!! Give the potato queso version a try. And for those who follow me, yes there is wine that I would drink. As for beer and mead DRINK LOCAL fallen timber and water valley both are on tap!!! $60 for a cart a…

New ownership equals an incredible new experience. Well done.👏 Our group had such a blast here! What a beauty of a course. Hole 4 is gorgeous and one of my personal favourites. Great variety throughout the 18 holes. So enjoyable! 🙌🏻⛳️🏌🏻

This is the definition of hidden gem. About an hour outside Calgary, it’s a scenic drive leading up to a gorgeous course nestled in the foothills. It plays as a parkland course with elevation change, doglegs, a little water, and plenty of poplar stands. The course was in great shape when we played and had thoughtful touches like elevated tea boxes, MacKenzie greens, and tricky runoffs to punish missed approach shots. Staff were friendly and the experience overall was fantastic. Well worth the trip.

This is a hidden gem. The course is in amazing shape and you can tell it is cared for with love of the game. The fairways are amazing and the greens tough, but fair. The course is challenging but a treat to play. Add to it the staff who are amazing. I had a small problem that the staff did their best to resolve but couldn’t. The manager, who I wish I got her name, came in and resolve the minor issue quickly and professionally. I appreciated the staff’s attempt and the managers resolution. The quad buggies in the pictures made for an additional bit of fun. I highly recommend this course. Than…

What a truly great day. I have wanted to come and play here for a long time and today did not disappoint. Spoke to lady In pro shop to see if there was an earlier time, no problem, paired with a member, who was a great guy(I won’t try and spell his name, but it would be something like Eloise?). Hit the range before hand and met two great members Carl and Leigh(hopefully that’s her name). Had a chat about how great the club was etc. So far it was very friendly. The starter Duncan, a great guy. Course was everything I could have hoped for. Just wish the swing did not leave me at the turn. This p…

I've been coming here for the past year, and I have to say—the course has become so much more welcoming since they brought on the new pro. The atmosphere is friendlier, and you can really feel the positive shift. This course is a true gem. We always come out for Men’s Night, and it’s honestly the best it’s ever been. Huge credit to the team—keep up the great work!
