In summary

Wayne Public Golf Course, now repurposed as a park, is appreciated for its open spaces, scenic trails, and suitability for dog walking and outdoor activities. Visitors enjoy the natural setting and find it a pleasant spot for walking and leisure. However, there are frequent concerns about the lack of adherence to leash laws, with many dogs being off-leash, which can be problematic for some visitors.

Former golf course turned into this amazing dog park and people together and walk along the river. Absolutely amazing place

It’s a decent open space. It is basically an off-leash dog park but there’s at least enough space to keep distance. What I find puzzling is actually the owners that keep their dogs ON leash here because 1) I don’t think the park is actually that “nice” to walk around in and 2) it’s worse for their dogs on leash if the other dogs are already off leash. Yes, I understand it’s the law but people don’t follow that rule in this area. Maybe just go to another park that’s less of an unofficial dog park where dogs are on leashes?? Anyways… it’s a nice space. I wouldn’t really visit much unless I had a dog.

Great place to get some air and walk your dog. Beautiful in the Spring and all summer. Tons of open space

Loved visiting this park today. This is a hidden gem and not a well know park attraction around Bothell. The trail and the elevation make it a kid friendly afternoon hike spot with views of lake Sammamish in certain spots.

Great small park by the Riverside. Trees are very old and great scenery for photography. The houses by the river make it so romantic and lovely. I find so peaceful and calm. I would visit this place for quick walk and releasing the stress. #bothelpark #RiverSide #OldTress #BeautifulPark

Most people are blatantly ignoring leash law. I wish the city will enforce the leash law, fine them, and used the fund to make an enclosed dog park. I don’t like to be approached by strange dogs while walking there. If people want to let their dogs run, please use enclosed dog park.

Packs of wild dog-owners, who believe in neither leashes nor cleaning up, have ruined this place. Either watch the ground so you do not step in surprises or watch out for strange dogs jumping on you. Take your pick.

most people are there walking their dog, but 9 out of 10 of them ignore the sign/law that you must keep your dog on a leash. Did not enjoy being growled at and circled by dogs not under any control.

It's an ok place for a walk. It is a glorified off leash dog park. Yes there are signs everywhere stating dog must be kept on leash. Owners are great about keeping them on leash in the parking lot. Once out in the open spaces over half the dog were off leash running around. I will say the dog were behaved and didn't bother us while walking.

Really liked the area. It was rainy the first time we went, so easier to find parking. Great spot to walk our dog around! Edit - Sept 2021 We have come back at drier times and my dog loves being around here. He is interested in the other dogs he sees, but it's easy to put distance between us and others if he gets overwhelmed.

Fantastic place to walk a pup, fly a kite and generally enjoy a nice day. Lots of trails for everyone so it isn’t ever a need to be in a crowd. Parking lot is a little bumpy so take it slow coming in and out. Highly recommend for those with pups as everyone I have run into was pleasant (four and two legged).

With a rare 9 inches of fresh powdery snow the sledding today was a blast! A snowfall like that happens every few years. Normally the park is great for a hike or a walk. It's a great resource for those living in the community. Rumor has it that some improvements like restrooms will be coming.

Be prepared for all of the people who can't follow the "all dogs must be on leash" rule. Encountered a dozen or so dogs that made walking a leashed dog a lot harder than it should have been. People lazily will use this park as an off leash park when there is one right down the road.

Love this park! Great for walking, picking blackberries in season, lots of people walk their dogs. They are leaving it fairly natural for now, and it will be fun to watch it evolve.

Good place for a walk, easy terrain with well marked paths. Not a lot of shade but still nice for a stroll or to bring the dogs.

Great Park to get out and walk your dog or kids. Just be sure to clean up after them so everyone can enjoy it.

This old golf course is a nice place to walk but currently is run-down with lots of water settling in the path. Could be an amazing community space with a little bit of TLC.

It's a good place to take your dog, however, even though signs are posted all over the park stating leash is required, there seem to be a fair number of people who disregard it so if you have a reactive dog, you may want to reconsider visiting, or just be aware and prepared for possible problem encounters.
