We did the stay and play and it was awesome. We went in the middle of February so grass and course conditions were to be expected, however all of the greens were in easily 8/10 shape, in the OFFSEASON. Tee boxes all looked great, fairway was fine, every hole was cut well, easy to find our ball every hole. Very challenging course and a great range of distances, 7000 from the tips and only 4800 from the front. Don't let the short distance fool you though, every hole will give you something to think about. Didn't try the pub house so can't speak on that or their event staffing, but it looks lik…

Had a very nice over night stay. Played 9 holes on first day, had dinner in Georgetown, and played another 9 the next day. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens rolled really well. Had lunch at the pub after our last round. Pizza was very tasty. All of the help we encountered during our stay were super friendly and helpful. All in all a great short getaway!

Great Lowcountry setting for a golf course. Needs a little work on the greens and tee boxes. Friendly staff.

Stayed in one of their cabins and golfed 2 days. Cabin and course were excellent. Will do this again. I am purchasing there 52 year anniversary special. Unlimited green fees for 2 years for $89 per year plus $10 initial fee. Excellent course well worth this deal. Check it out at golfgeorgetownsc.

This course needs lots of work, which seems to be happening, and it does have lots of potential. I plan on returning in a few years in the hopes the course will be in better shape. Definitely try a chili dog, it was the bomb! It is a beautiful area with all the Spanish moss in the trees.

We always have a blast at Wedgefield! Took a group of 9 guys down ans stayed on property. The historic value, the wood work, the craftsmanship, the food, the staff, and the golf were amazing. We got to see some gators, which was super cool. The Spanish moss on the trees is just beautiful. Nice driving range. The pizza here is also the best around. Sout Carolinas best kept secret. Enjoy!

A truly amazing find! As an organizer for a golf group in the Charleston, SC, area, we work with many golf courses up and down the SC coast. I cannot express enough what a great experience it is working with the Wedgefield staff and playing this fun course. The course is fun and challenging and the staff is truly the best you will find anywhere!! The customer service, from the top down, is unrivaled! From the moment we pulled up, staff were there to greet us with a smile (actually IN the parking lot), began unloading our golf clubs, had our carts assigned, names on carts, lined up, and ready t…

The course is definitely an up and comer with visible improvements being made. The layout is inviting with plenty of water and Spanish moss covered trees. Great staff and the best Chili dog I've had in a long time.

This course was a disappointment even though the staff was friendly and professional. It was very wet the day we played and cart path only. Most of the greens are excessively protected by numerous bunkers and water. I joked that the designer was the Marquis de Sade. They have no bag drop so you must lug your bags from the lot and load them yourself. Getting in and out was a bit of an adventure as you have to drive the bottleneck that is Georgetown. The rush hour traffic going the other way was ridiculous and even though I left shortly after 1PM there was still some traffic heading back to 17 n…

Played a round today. You can see the fine effort being put forth to bring the course back to what it once was. The staff has done an amazing job restoring the greens. Great layout that will get better every day. It was an hour drive from our condo but we’ll worth it. Super friendly staff. See you next year.

This is a very special piece of property with a lot of history and character. To be able to stay in the newly renovated cabins and stroll right into the pub, pro shop, driving range or onto the first tee in seconds was such a cool experience. Can't wait to come back next year and see the amount of progress the new owners have made!
