In summary

West Bolton Golf Course is praised for its beautiful mountain setting, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout with elevation changes and blind shots. The staff is generally described as friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have reported negative interactions with the front desk staff, which detracted from their visit. Despite this, the course remains a popular choice for its scenic views and reasonable pricing.

Beautiful location just west of Bolton Valley area, dont let the driveway disway you from from heading up. This can be a challenging course with a lot of elevation changes and dog legs leading to a lot of blind of shots, the back nine is much more open and flatter though relatively long. The views are gorgeous of the surrounding Green Mountains and staff is very friendly and helpful. As it was my first time golfing I was given a free greens book to use I the round (the yardage in it is a bit outdated, but the tips and layout are useful). Price is also a good deal after 3 on Saturday it was $74…

the course looks great, with many amazing views. however, when my friends and i had decided to go for a round the staff was speaking to us as if we were just going to disrespect the course. suggesting us to go to a range instead, assuming we weren’t capable of completing the course. the attitude we had received definitely made us decide that was going to be our first and last time spending our time and money at this course. not the right approach to take if they want customers to come back.

I just want to let you know that some of your reviews turned me away from your golf course. I know people can be rude. It seems like that attitude is elevated at many country clubs where people think they are just better than you are. Thank you, boys for warning me in the reviews. It saves me from dealing with wishy washy two faced people like this. A real owner with a spine would have replied to these reviews in some manner. The silence is deafening. Do better. I am spending my $$$ elsewhere , ⛳️🏌️‍♀️ while I'm here.

I recently came to this golf course with a few buddies of mine and honestly was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a place. The way we were greeted was utterly disrespectful and just simply unprofessional. The moment we walked in the lady gave us attitude and was just being rude. We had called ahead and booked a tee time and when we got there we were blown away by how paying customers were treated. Also to add someone who had nothing to do with our group got in trouble because their parent is a member of the club and saw someone in my group talking to them. To not only treat paying…

I cannot say enough about the beauty and kindness this golf course embraces. Jeff and Mary do an amazing job to make this an amazing golf course an experience that keeps me coming back year after year! The earliest twilight hours in the state, the March madness special for us who don’t get to play as much as we wish, and the consideration for new golfers who are not shooting par each hole. If I could give ten stars I would. Thank you West Bolton for the golf course you provide and all of the hard work your staff puts into providing me with an excellent experience time after time.

upon already receiving a bad review, i was informed that the owners had spoken to another individual, who’s been a regular customer here, telling him he needs to “give us a talking to” as if we’re out of place for feeling disrespected, simply because the guy knows one of the people that was in my group. it is very unprofessional to bring in another customer who had nothing to do with our experience at this course. “talking to” or not, we are adults who were mistreated and disrespected. i heard the owners were jerks and you guys aren’t helping your case at all. got something to say? contact the…

Worst customer service, I’ve ever witnessed , golf course was beautiful , but the lady at the front and the gentleman checking us out had an attitude with us as soon as we walked in the door. I spent 200 dollars there rented clubs, cart and bought balls and I’m from out of town and this was the worst experience from staff from a golf course I’ve ever had. They were acting like we never played before then proceeded to shoot under par. No way to treat people wanting to go play there.

The course itself is very nice and well-kept, but the experience was soured by the staff at the front desk. The people greeting us were dismissive and rude, which really took away from what could have been an enjoyable outing. It’s a shame because the course deserves better service to match its quality.

The staff at West Bolton were phenomenal. Each individual I spoke with was so helpful and committed to enhancing my group's experience. They were very accommodating to our larger group, which was very appreciated. The greens were small, fairways had little rough on either side, and the par 3's were pleasantly challenging. Overall the course was in fantastic condition especially after all the recent weather VT has been hit with. Kudos to the greens staff!! Finally I have to mention the kitchen. I ordered the special, steak sliders, absolutely unreal. Drinks were great with local beer options an…

Very friendly staff who make you feel welcome. The course is beautifully maintained, they keep water coolers full on the course and pay attention to the little things. One of the better values in the area. It’s a fairly short course so if you’re a mid to high handicap player it isn’t too intimidating. I’ll definitely be back.

A beautiful course surrounded by mountains. The drive to the course is pleasant. Staff are friendly. Greens are in good condition. Rock outcrops on fairways and rough here and there, so the accuracy of shots is a must. There is a military firing range nearby, the shooting was non-stop in four hours we were there. All considered, a nice outing and round of golf, recommended.
