In summary

West Chase Golf Club is praised for its friendly and accommodating event staff, making it a popular choice for weddings and parties, with guests appreciating the venue's flexibility and scenic setting. However, opinions on the golf course itself are mixed; while some golfers find the course enjoyable and well-maintained, others report issues with the condition of the greens, fairways, and bunkers. Despite these concerns, the club's event hosting capabilities and overall hospitality remain highly regarded.

Wow….not sure where to start. I have played this course many times over the years, and always enjoyed it. I was shocked when I played it today. Every aspect of the course had been neglected to a near unplayable level. The tees were in awful condition with no little grass, no repaired divots and hard as a rock. The fairways were in poor condition with burn spots, not well cut and weeds taking over. The sand traps had little to no sand in them and were unplayable. The creeks and water were way overgrown and lastly the greens were unplayable. All were in awful condition. Again, used to really enj…

Attended a work event here. The incredible hospitality by Ellen and the entire event staff cannot be emphasized enough. It was comparable to visiting a family member’s home. Personable, natural, and very welcoming. Very attentive to every detail as well anything we needed for our event. They had a delicious choice of foods during the week ranging from tender pulled pork and pasta bakes with a variety of salad bars to French toast with choices of fruit toppings, thick bacon, and egg casseroles for breakfast. Thank you for hosting!

We attended a retirement party last night at West Chase that was catered. Ellen did such an amazing job, preparing the food and hosting the event. The food was some of the most tasty and delicious. I’ve had at a catered event! Outstanding service and quality all around. Highly recommended.

Been playing this course for 15 years. Played 9 the other day and I was speechless. Course is in the worst condition I’ve ever seen it in. Tee boxes and greens were awful. Fairways weren’t great either. Feels like they’re making little to no effort.

I would like to give the Events team at West Chase the well-deserved recognition they all deserve. Ellen Landis is absolutely wonderful to work with planning your event, large or small scale. She is professional, experienced, and full of great ideas. She helped us create a vision for our wedding day and in my unbiased opinion it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever experienced. She also became our friend in the process. The pavilion space available to us was filled with potential, simple and elegant to personalize with touches of your own decor. A blank slate with its own magic, the room…

This was my first time playing West Chase, even though I've resided in Plainfield for 9 years. I'm unsure of the previous comments of poor conditions....the course was in good condition on 10/24/2025. Greens were aerated on 10/14 & 10/15, making putting difficult. Fairways were green & mowed. Smaller greens than I'm accustomed to. Bunkers are a little odd (to me) but playable. The first 3-4 holes are 'meh'....but the rest of the course is enjoyable. 14-18 are a solid finish. I'll definitely keep them in my rotation next season.

West Chase is a gem on the west side. I read some reviews but decided to check it out for myself. This is a fun, challenging course nestled in a couple of neighborhoods. The greens, fairways, tee boxes are all in good shape and better than most others. Friendly folks from the pro shop to the bar and the other golfers. My new favorite course and I plan to have friends from out of town play here.

2025.10.5. Front nine is wide open without many trees at all. There are many houses along outside of the course, but it felt spacious though. Back nine has quite some trees and some tricky green locations. With big contrast between front and back nines and the varieties, I would give a 4 star for the layout. But, the maintenance really is sub-par. At least at this time of the year, the fairways and greens are not in good conditions. Greens have dead spots and are fluffy and slow.

My wife and I enjoyed working with Kaitlyn for our wedding reception here. For the amount of guests we had (122) the venue was a great size with plenty of space to be seated comfortably for dinner, have some gathering space by the bar, and a good sized dance floor. We loved having the deck space which give our guests the opportunity to enjoy the fall weather and beautiful view of the golf course. We were able to use the golf carts to take out on to the course and have pictures done. A nice sized bar, and plenty of room for our caterer. The option to bring our own catering in helped us customi…

Fun course! Love the variation of the holes. Greens and fairways were in perfect conditions!! Pace of play was great, finished 18 holes in 3hrs. Great value - $40 for 18holes including cart! Would definitely play here again.

Have played here in the past, first time this year at West Chase. Will be the last. Greens were in really bad shape. For $49 you would think they could take care of the greens. Expect some drying out in the fairways. Bunkers had big rocks in them. Don't know what they are doing with them. Plenty of dirt, not much sand. Very disappointed in the condition, which used to be pretty nice, in the past

The course was okay for a sponsored golf outing and scramble. The maintenance of the course, the greens in particular, left a lot to be desired. The clubhouse was staffed with newer employees who didn't seem familiar with the product offerings in the pro shop.
