In summary

Western Hills Golf Course is often praised for its challenging layout, reasonable pricing, and well-maintained greens, with many visitors appreciating the friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have noted issues with the condition of the fairways and bunkers, as well as occasional slow pace of play and customer service concerns. Despite these criticisms, many golfers find the course to be a good value and enjoyable overall.

A very nice, casual experience at the clubhouse. Carts worked just fine and we're fast. Driving range needs some care and it was mostly dirt, but the range balls were brand new! I found myself in 3 bunkers during round and the conditions were fluffy and loose. Greens ran much slower than the practice green, which took a lot to get used to but the greens were well kept without burned grass or bare spots. My only complaint about today was the condition of the fairways on the back nine. The fairways had not been cut for days and it was hard to distinguish between the rough and fairway. Snacks and…

Challenging back 9 with lots of hills. Reading the greens definitely put us to the test. We really enjoyed our experience at this course. Staff were so friendly every time. Driving range and putting green were nice

It would be nice if the receptionist was a little more cordial when talking to people... All the times I have called it always seems like she's not that happy to be there.. hope I can change this post in the future

Good course for the value. The greens were in good shape and the course was well maintained. Gentlemen at the desk was welcoming. The course plays long but is fun and challenging.

Amazing course and an even better price point. Beautiful and well maintained greens and fairways with great views of multiple ponds. Currently, the bunkers need some work, but that's just a better reason to avoid them. Our group will be playing here a lot more!.

Green were in good shape and staff were wonderful. Course fairways and tees were practically dead.

It was my first time playing here. I was very impressed with the layout of the course and tee locations. Fairways and rough are not perfect, but definitely not bad. Greens run well and have a decent speed. Staff is also very polite. Would definitely recommend playing here if you are looking for a reasonably priced course as you will get your money worth.

Absolutely loved the course. However there aren't any bunkers (there are but they're in the worst shape I've ever seen a bunker). Kinda hard to believe it's August and they can't keep the bunkers up to par. Other than that the staff was nice and the prices for everything was rather cheap.

Played a week ago, the greens were ok but fairways and tees were bad. Disappointed in course condition.

From start to finish it was torture... front counter staff (male) was extremely rude and condescending, he had smart comments to say to everyone who walked in and made them all feel like they were invading his personal golf course and they shouldn't even be there. The Marshall was nice but did absolutely nothing to help the horrendous pace of place. 5 HOURS!??!! To play a round of golf?!.!.! There were 2 somes out there all over not paired up and we had to wait 10-30 minutes to hit every tee shot and nothing was done about it. They won't ever have to worry about the 4 of us coming back to that…

This poor rating is for the driving range. At 3:55 on a beautiful fall Tuesday, this place would not sell a large bucket of balls for three people to practice hitting on the range. Despite their posted hours being open until 6:30 pm, and google saying they are open until 7:30, they said we couldn’t begin a bucket that size this late in the day. Keep in mind their large bucket is the size of a paint can at best. Never seen anything like it.
