The picturesque setting, enhanced by natural scenery and mature trees, adds to the overall experience, making it a favorite among visitors. The staff receives commendations for their friendliness and attentiveness, while the resort's amenities, including lodging options, further enhance the appeal. Some reviewers mention that the rough can be thick and bunkers may need more attention, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

This course is absolutely amazing! Some of the most challenging greens I have played in the state but they run incredibly true. The hole designs are phenomenal and the views stunning. It is in fantastic shape, I couldn’t recommend it more. One of my favorites!

Came in from out of town to Fargo and found this gem. Well worth the drive. Greens are amazing, fast and true. Tee boxes and fairways are great. The rough is a little thick and the bunkers could use some love. Staff was truly incredible and welcoming. We were the first to use the brand new Mizuno rental clubs. I really enjoyed this track and would come back next time I am in the area.

This course is a gem! The course was in great shape, greens were fast, fairways were smooth and the views were picturesque. Hole 5 was my favorite with a slight dogleg right off the tee and a sloping fairway hitting down to the green. The course nods to their namesake with beautiful wildflowers and prairie restoration areas. Beautiful mature trees which makes for a couple challenging tee shots. Highly recommend, it’s a great getaway with friends and family with lodging across the street at Fair Hills! Fair Hills has something for everyone to accommodate all personalities and interests.

Went up to Wildflower earlier this week for the first time. Absolutely fell in love with the course. Such a great layout and all of the staff was wonderful. Greens were some of the best I've played in MN this year. Can't wait to go back!

I recently had the pleasure of playing at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, MN, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From start to finish, this golfing experience exceeded all my expectations. Allow me to share the highlights of my visit! First and foremost, the course boasts fast but playable greens that made every putt feel rewarding. The consistent speed and true roll added an exciting element to the game, challenging me to bring my A-game while still keeping it enjoyable. The greens were immaculately maintained, enhancing the overall playing experience. The fairways were al…

Greens were rolling smooth and fairly fast in July 2017. It was the best they've been in years, in my opinion. The course was in great shape and they had a weekday special with a cart for a very reasonable rate. I really like the design of almost all the holes on this course and would rank it as one of my favorite courses. There are multiple sets of tees (4 I believe) so all levels of golfers can find a yardage that works for them. I recommend!

Wildflower is the course to check out if you are ever in the area. I heard about this course because it is on Public Country Club (PCC). The greens are perfect and roll true. Tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. The green complexes/areas are some of the most fun I have ever played. I will be back to play this course again!

This is a fantastic golf track. Big wide fairways. Fair but challenging greens. Very well cared for and maintained. The staff is on point and works hard to make a great experience for the customers. Don’t be fooled by the small Pro Shop. This place is top notch and a great value when playing golf in the area. We had 8 foursomes come and play and it was perfectly hosted event by Wildflower GC. . We plan on coming back. Emily - the Course Operations Director - is outstanding and could not have done more for us.

Having played over 200 different golf courses in Minnesota, I would definitely recommend adding this one to your playlist. Some of the best course conditions and fastest, smoothest public greens I have played on. Reasonable rates, part of the public country club program, and amazingly friendly service. they also have cozy cabins right on the lake across the street for the perfect stay and play. Try Wildflower, you will not be disappointed
