The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse amenities, including food and drinks, enhance the overall experience. We played Turtleback, Big Fish and Hayward Golf in a quick golf and boating weekend. They were all great but wanted to do a special shootout for Hayward Golf who shipped my range finder back to me. Course conditions, pace of play and staff were awesome. They were selling cheeseburgers hot off the grill which were outstanding as well.

Went here for the first time and definitely recommend. Very well kept course, nice clubhouse and bar restaurant following the front 9.

Played with bachelor party from out of town. Booked 2 teems time and played a scramble with 7 people. We were waiting on the people ahead of us at every hole.(also way ahead of pace of play) Yelled at by off duty employee twice. And also twice by clubhouse. Very unprofessional.

I’ve always heard about the Hayward area and how it had some great golf. So I decided to get up there and finally try it out. I played Hayward for the first time back in early June was extremely impressed. The tee boxes are flat, the fairways lush, and the greens roll perfectly. It is extremely well maintained and constantly being improved. Making a tee time is very easy and the staff has always been very accommodating. I enjoyed it so much that I just wrapped up my third trip in about six weeks up there from the cities to play it. I would highly recommend heading up there!

Had an absolute blast both days we played here. We walked the first day, which we understood with how much rain we got. Afterwards, there was a bartenders first day and she was fantastic. Then another bartender offered to make Pizza even when the kitchen was closed. Thanks Mom! Everything was so good we came back for a second round the next day!

Beautiful course. Fairways are lush on 95% of holes. The greens were a tad bumpy but rolled pretty true. Pert near every hole is a dog leg. Would love to play it again with a bit more course knowledge...played again Oct 9th 2024. The course was amazing. The greens were in fantastic shape. The fairways were very lush. A true gem of the north.

The course is absolutely beautiful, an up North course with gorgeous mature pines, stunning landscaping with colorful flowers, might even see a black bear run across the fairway! It is well maintained, a fair yet challenging course. Seems like a private rather than a municipal course. Friendly helpful staff to greet and help you in the pro shop as well. Fun bar with great food. Golfed many private and public courses, this is in our top 10.

Pretty good, hard to heavily fault. Layout has lots of repetition, it's very flat, and the greens were rather shaggy, but it was in great shape and the price is decent. If you can't get into big fish this place is worth a try.

First of all beautiful course very welcoming staff at check in. First time here... We never seen anybody waiting behind us because I check often don't like being pushed... We were approached by a gentlemen who we did not know worked at the course.... Told us we needed to pick up the pace very unprofessionally. Then told us he was an employee of the course. We literally picked up our balls and moved to the next hole. We won't be back.

Great course. Not too difficult (for people unlike me who can hit a ball straight). Great operation. Course plays pretty fast. All around good experience. Brat on the rollers in the bar hit the spot after a 100 stroke round 😂
