what a great place!! beautiful course. truly gorgeous. Staff members are friendly and super helpful. This is our third visit because we are made to feel welcome each and every time, and the course is breathtaking. Northwoods at it's best.

Beautiful course with elevation changes. The gal in the pro shop was helpful and friendly. The course is very tight, so if you are going with the guys and plan to have a few beers, you might enjoy a course that is more forgiving.

My husband and I spend three days golfing in the area of Hayward and Cable (he is the golfer and I ride). This course was beautiful! The views were amazing, the course was tough... bring lots of balls. While we were in the area we golfed 'Hayward Golf Course' and 'Big Fish Golf Course' as well as this course. Of the three, this was the worst. We purchased the Northland Golf Card which allows us to play on 12 different courses. Some of the courses charge for a cart and others do not, no big deal. Not one of the courses has charged for me to ride in the cart, but this one did...$16.00. And this…

We have two newish golfers and we wanted their experience to be challenging, fun and adventurous. Our day at Lakewoods was just about perfect. Thank you!

The course wasn't in great shape, but it was a fun play. Very scenic. If you're not hitting it in the fairway, bring a lot of balls. If they go in the trees, they are gone. Side note, none of the staff was wearing masks. This may have changed since the new mask order. (see reply below) All in all if we're back in the area, we'll be going back.

Top notch destination, playing very tight from tee to green on most every hole. Leave your driver at home and keep your ball in play with a 3/4 iron off of the tee box. Beautiful views, great pricing. Course was (overall) in pretty solid shape.

Great golf course with some challenging holes and great views. Feels like you're playing a round right in the middle of the forest

Hidden gem!! One of my all time favorite courses!! A short hitters dream against a big hitting sprayer.

Sorry, but except for greens, this course is not in good shape. No, I’m not a good golfer, but the fairways are very narrow, there is a lot to carry to make it to the fairway on many holes, and you have to be good at shooting from uphill and downhill lies. Much of the course outside of the fairways is unplayable due to no grass and fairways are hard to get to. Put all of this together with a green fee and cart for $60 and you’ll wish, like me, that you had played elsewhere!

Course was in terrible condition. Couldn't find a blade of grass on the fairways and due to little rain it was like hitting off a parking lot. Wooden bridges are falling apart/buckling. It is also mosquito heaven at this point in the year. This course is very hilly, scenic/wooded and challenging. However with the condition of the course, it was not even close to being worth 50 dollars.

Beautiful course with scenic views. If you only have time for 9 play the back.

Fun golfing challenging course tee boxes and greens could use some work! Staff at both the course and resort were good. Rooms were less then ok. they were clean but the place could use updates food was ok. Waitress was overwhelmed. Great location wonderful views but Overall I don't think I would return my trip was 250 miles one way for just an average no below average experience
