In summary

Willow Run Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and accommodating service, making it a welcoming environment for both novice and seasoned golfers. The course layout is often highlighted as enjoyable, with interesting elevation changes and a casual atmosphere. However, many visitors have expressed concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the poor condition of the greens and tee boxes, which some feel detracts from the overall playing experience.

Expensive course for 9 holes. Tee boxes were mainly dirt. Ground all around the course is very hard and not very well kept. The greens were the worst I have ever seen. Mainly hard dirt that has cracks everywhere. No actual grass at all, just seed powder everywhere. Can see all the previous hole locations with large circle cracks. Course was practically unplayable.

This is a great local course and the owners are nice people. I have been in multiple golf events here and they are always accommodating. The course is maintained very nicely. I don’t care what the naysayers say. Stop on by and give them a play.

It's a great day for golf! I had a wonderful time with my dad and he only be at me by 2 strokes!

I want to like this golf course so much. Super friendly staff. Nice elevation changes, interesting holes, not too many sandtraps or water hazards (great for a beginner). Only a few holes which are a little narrow. The only problem is that the greens are in terrible shape: very little grass on them. Being August, it becomes a very hard, fast surface. The fairways are also a little rough in spots, but acceptable. We saw many maintenance people and a watering vehicle, so not sure why the course isn't in better shape. It could be a place we would visit regularly with nicer greens.

I have been playing there every Wednesday regularly for several years. The course is well suited for the low skill to high skill golfer with good challenges yet not overpowering to be discouraging. The course is in good to very good shape all the time. The management and crews are excellent, friendly, accommodating and are pleasant to all. The rates are GREAT and the location is very convenient. Myself and my fellow golfers rarely think about playing anywhere else.

Not sure what is up with all the bad reviews. The course is nowhere near the shape the bad reviews are giving it. I’ve seen less fairway chunks missing here that at other courses I’ve already played this year. This isn’t a difficult course. Its a step up from other 9 holes around as there is more yardage to stretch your driver. For the price this is a great value.

Have no clue what happened here. This was a great course to get some weekday holes in, but it has become unplayable and at its current price point will struggle to find others who feel differently. In the matter of a month the greens were dead, the tee boxes were moved to absurd locations, and the course seems to have taken major steps backward. To make matters worse they are still charging full price. The greens were completely barren left with only choppy dirt and gouges. The tee boxes were moved to places I had never seen before, greatly shortening a 9 hole course. Would love to see this c…

A very fun course that is doable but still with many challenges. It is well run with greens in very good condition. Tee boxes are tougher and hard to put your tea in. The distinction between the Fairway and the Ruff is somewhat tenuous, but certainly does not impede your play in anyway. This is a favorite Golf Course of mine. Staff is great, also.

March 2021- Oh my, where do I even begin. Well, I knew it was going to be a bad day when the first tee box was backed up with 4 different groups. All fairways were dramatically sloped in either direction. Tree branches all over the ground. Don’t even get me started on the greens. Plenty of divots, grass missing, uneven grass. The ball would hardly roll! Willow run is by far the worst course I’ve ever played on, and that is saying a lot-coming from a broke college kid. This place is a disgrace to the golf community. They ought to just sell the land and let someone else take over. Don’t waste yo…

Green were extremely slow and were very bumpy, Could not get a straight roll on any of the greens. Play was really good, we were done with 18 in about 2:45. Staff were really nice. It's a short course so if you have a wife or beginner that doesn't play much this is a great option!

We came here for an event and played 9 holes. Super casual suits me well, since I am a novice golfer. It’s very friendly neighborhood feel ... definitely for the amateur golfer🏌🏻‍♀️ ... we had a lot of fun!

The greens on the golf course are in bad shape. For example, there are a lot of bald areas, with very little, or if any grass. The fairways are okay. The only positive experience was the service I received in the club house.
