In summary

Willow Wood Golf Club is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, challenging layout, and friendly, accommodating staff, making it a standout value in the region. Golfers appreciate the well-maintained greens and fairways, as well as the practice facilities and overall welcoming atmosphere. Some visitors have noted issues with the dining experience and outdated golf carts, but these concerns do not overshadow the overall positive experience at the club.

Stopped in for breakfast and was disappointed. The food was not great. I had the Half Order of Biscuits and Gravy with Home Fries, Bacon and Sausage Links. I liked the sausage links. The biscuits and gravy were decent. The bacon seemed microwaved and the home fries deep fried. So much rather have both on a griddle. The food was slow to come out so not sure why the shortcuts were taken because it didn’t really speed the process and if you are churning out great food people will wait. Our server was great though!

This place is the definition of a hidden gem (or jewel, as they call it). Course is always in perfect condition, whether you're teeing off in early April or late October. Fast greens, pure fairways and tricky rough keep you on your toes throughout the round. The price to playing condition ratio is an 11 out of 10. I live in the Rockford MI area and nothing over here comes close in quality at this price point. Staff is always super friendly and happy to see you. They have a nice driving range and practice area so show up early and get dialed in before you tee off. Greens keepers and maintenan…

Awesome establishment, the entire staff top to bottom care about your experience and that’s rare in today’s world! Course is always at its best and you can feel the effort.

The absolute best value in the area. True, firm greens and plush fairways. A beautiful piece of property that the staff has done a really great job of maintaining. Driving range is a plus.

Lots of wonderful memories at this course. Amazing to see it's growth over the last 20+ years. Affordable price point. Pratice green and range are good for a quick warm up or for long pratice sessions with targets. Hot dogs and additional fried food available at the turn along with snacks.

Nashville hot chicken biscuits and gravy was a 10/10. So excited for this new breakfast gem!

I really enjoyed playing out here even though it tested all my patience as an average golfer. This course is challenging in a way that not many others are. The heavy dog legged holes keep you on your toes and can either make or break your round. It's not too heavy with hazards where you have to worry about losing your ball, but it will test your accuracy with having to hit straight. I will definitely make another trip out here in the future to try this one again. Kudos to the grounds keeping team for keeping it in good shape. I would like to see the carts be upgraded though. The one we had was…

We participated in a golf outing today. While the golf was fine, the food was absolutely horrible. Hotdogs were still cold at the turn and hard to eat. We came back for a taco bar after the round, and they were out of chips and meat halfway through the line. Poor young kids had no idea what to do as there was no management on the property. I would look elsewhere if you’re wanting to hold an outing.

Probably the best value in the greater lansing area. $55 for 18 on a holiday weekend but feels like a $100 course. Greens were perfect. Course is relatively short but still challenging. Hidden gem.

Huge thanks to Clay at Willow Wood! We thought we’d only be able to hit the range since leagues were going, but he made it possible for us to get out and play a round. His customer service was amazing and truly made for a wonderful evening. Even though it’s a bit of a drive for us, we’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks again, Clay!

Very nice place to play. A hidden gem. Not on the main road but well worth the drive!
