In summary

Wilmette Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained layout, challenging design, and enjoyable amenities, including a well-equipped driving range and a restaurant with commendable food options. Many appreciate the scenic setting and the course's walkability, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. However, some visitors express frustration with the customer service, particularly in the pro shop, and note that frequent events can limit tee time availability. Additionally, some find the course conditions inconsistent and question the value given recent price increases.

Fantastic course that take a few times to play to really appreciate. Asking both precision and imagination from the player, all skill levels will find something. Fairways are tight and greens are undulating, making sure you're in the right position for approaches. Range is mats only but chipping and short game area is nice. Great course to walk, if you can, you should play.

This is probably the 2nd review I have ever written, golf was good. BUT this place has the GREATEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. 10/10.

Great course, clean and well maintained! Golf carts have monitors and tell you your position on each hole! We were there for the Evanston Chamber outing and played a foursome. Had a great time!

Went to this place for the holiday party from work. Loved the ambience, service and the view. Plus, there are plenty of parking as well!

I would never ever play this course again. The golf shop Manager, Bill, was, rude and unprofessional. Terrible customer service. The guy fought me loudly over a rain check request when it was actually raining outside 10 mins from the course and the course was soaked from all night rain. This guy cared far are more about making a dollar and being pushy than polite Customer Service, and doing the right thing. Played the course countless times but never again.

The course is great and the staff is friendly, but my reason for the 3 star review is that for a public golf course they host A LOT of events that monopolize the tee times and make it very difficult to get out regularly. I have purchased the Silver Membership these last two summers which allows me to Golf all summer Mon-Fri for a one-time fee, but they have tee times regularly blocked off from 4-6pm for different leagues and events Mon-Fri. So much so that I will not be buying back in next summer as they are too busy to reliably be able to get my monies' worth. They also seem to have added mor…

This place used to be wonderful. It was remodeled last year into a trendy eatery with hard surfaces, hard floors and lots of echoing noise. Menu very limited and prices doubled. After being seated, we waited for 20 minutes while other arrivals arrived after us, were seated and served. We walked out and headed to nearby Hackney's.

I have played over 200 golf courses in my life, both in America and abroad. I have played Wilmette Golf Club several times over the years. Each time I do, I want to come back less and less. This is the most average course I can think of. Flat and boring! I cannot think of one hole out there I'd appropriately describe as "Fun". The conditions are middling as well, with fairways a mixture of grasses and cut lengths. The greens are kept too soft for their design to work correctly. All of this could be ignored with adequate customer service, but this is where they really fail. This morning I bough…

Very good, properly prepared food. Open year round. We went in early March for Saturday lunch with our 3 children. Good children's menu options. Very good omelet with side salad. Wife enjoyed the brioche French toast.

Good price for a late fall round. It seems like most care has stopped for the year, but was in relatively good condition for $35 round. Carts were nice with digital display for distances from green and flyover hole view.

Decent golf course - but, the front desk proshop guy was very rude and condescending. The guy clearly did not want to be there. Also, what was up with the pin placement? Did I play a greens keeper revenge round? I mean every single pin was 6 inches to a foot off the edge of each green. Not quite sure what was going on there. You could literally fit your foot just barely between the cup and the rough of each green. Greens keeper must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed…
