In summary

Wood Hollow Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and enjoyable course layout, with some visitors highlighting the good condition of the greens and the overall fun golfing experience. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the poor condition of the cart paths, inconsistent maintenance of the tee boxes, and occasional issues with pace of play and customer service. Despite these concerns, many find it a worthwhile option for public golf in the Longview area.

Wood Hollow is one of the better courses for public play in Longview area. The cart paths are TERRIBLE and the greens can be a little thin (grass wise), BUT it plays well and a good course. Also, make sure your sprinklers turn off before play starts…got a little wet due to sprinklers still on in the fairway.

Beautiful 18 hole course. Driving range is across the street. Most of the greens are in great shape. Hole 7 is my favorite with the elevation drop. A couple of short par 3s and water hazards here and there makes for a fun round of golf

Only come here if you’re looking for mediocre cart paths, rude service, and extra fees. I came to join some friends that were already on the course and I was charged a “rider’s fee” just to ride on the carts they already paid for, when they didn’t get charged for a rider’s fee but only one fee per cart. Staff was incredibly rude when I questioned this and tried to ask me to leave. I ended up staying, only to find the horrible quality this course upholds with plenty of potholes on the cart path along with nearly every putting green being grey and sandy. Just don’t recommend at all when there ar…

No pace of play, no marshall, and no Tee times. Its the wild west. People were sitting in the fairways coaching. Golf carts were terrible. You need 4x4 to drive to cart paths. The tee boxes have more divets than grass. Greens look like a gopher manages them. Never again.

Course is a very good shape for the season. The greens are in SIGNIFICANTLY better shape than when we played here last during the late summer. Glad we had the opportunity to come out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and enjoy a great round of golf.

Went to the driving range for the first time. The guy working there was hitting a few golf balls, which was fine but when I went inside, he wanted me to hurry up and tell him what I wanted. He wasn’t friendly. He was not pleasant at all, and definitely not friendly. so I get my golf ball bucket and go out to the range and I had to keep pulling grass out of the way so I could hit off a tee. Overgrown and not well-maintained. On top of that you got this guy with a sour personality. Maybe instead of hitting golf balls he should’ve been manicuring the tee boxes. Just a thought.

Haven’t played here since last year when I played once and greens were trashed so I didn’t come back. Played over the weekend and course couldn’t be in better shape. Minus one star for cart paths giving me whiplash but does look like they are working on it slowly.

Played this course off and on since it opened. Wayne and his crew are top notch. Always enjoy this course. A lot of good memories playing on this course in tournaments and weekend foursomes. I look forward to more rounds as long as God allows me to swing a golf club at wood hollow golf course!

So sad to see the fall this course has made. An uncaring shop operator and terrible cart paths. Cost $95 for me and my son to play 18 rounds. The course is fair, but it's maintenance and the carts were just horrible. We won't go again till I hear it has been fixed. Try another course, please.

The fairways and greens are in pretty good shape and I enjoyed playing here. The cart path is in horrible condition and needs to be completely redone and the tee boxes need some TLC as well. All in all it's a fun place to play and I'll definitely play here again.
