In summary

Amana Colonies Golf Club is highly praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, well-maintained greens and fairways, and friendly staff. The course is set in a picturesque, secluded location with plenty of elevation changes and wildlife, making it a favorite among golfers in the area. While the overall experience is positive, some visitors have noted issues with the bunkers and cart paths, as well as occasional slow pace of play.

I've been hearing about this course for a couple of years now and I've just never made it down there wow was I missing something course was flawless the tees fairways rough greens all in perfect condition The greens were firm and fast I can't say enough good things about the course it's very challenging The staff was excellent very nice clubhouse is nice and they had a beverage cart rolling around all day long if you haven't played this course go play it Make sure you take plenty of balls.

Great course. Challenging in all the right ways. It would be nice if they offered more on course perks for the price, (tees, water coolers, etc.). Some of the holes are currently under slight renovations around the green complexes. Overall, though, excellent design and play.

Played here in a few college tournaments in the late 90s early 2000s. Weather was always miserable so never got the fair experience. Played for the first time in over 20 years and had beautiful weather. Course is in good condition and the layout is incredible - used most clubs in my bag from the tips. I forgot how demanding the greens are. Loved it, will be back in much less than 20 years. Worth the trip if you’re within a day’s drive.

We were not able to golf due to weather but had to stop and check it out. Very gorgeous course. Clubhouse is clean and pristine. Service was great. He was very helpful and attentive.

Beautiful, challenging course. Hilly. Cart patchs could use some upgrading. Double jack and coke $16.

The course is tight and very challenging. The conditions are top notch, hard to beat anywhere. It’s a beautiful location, any time of year.

I tried to hit the range there was some issue either they didn't have a small or they wouldn't take cash or something or they didn't have club rental (not likely, and I have a club with me usually). I've played before and remember the course was pretty nice but if clubs refuse to facilitate practice then what's the point. I can't remember, anyways I didn't get to play. I don't remember the exact reason for poor service it was a few weeks ago. Wasted side trip.

This is a large sprawling course tucked away in the bucolic rolling hills of the Amana Colonies. Each hole is as beautiful as it is challenging. There are plenty of hazards including elevation changes that create many blind shots but there are ways to avoid these with skill. Each round feels like an adventure and even if you have a bad round you are left with a feeling of serenity and satisfaction. Despite the leaves, the fall is by far the best time to play this course!

Beautiful course. Staff was very friendly. Course is easy to navigate and was kept up well. Saw plenty of wildlife while out. Only complaint I had was people seemed to be in a hurry. We were almost an hour faster than the suggested time of play and had people hurrying us along the whole time and a few close calls with some shots from the trailing groups.

Absolutely perfect cut greens. Crisp, fast, running fairways. Plenty of hills, straight valley's, and wicked dog-legs.....Great course. NEVER....GOT....RUSHED.....EVER. The golf carts were like new.

Best looking golf club in the area by wide margin. Very well kept and very secluded/ peaceful. Challenging but extremely fun. You owe it to yourself to make the drive out. Great prices and a new clubhouse in the works. Will be an awesome space overlooking the river and hole 18.
