In summary

Amesbury Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its scenic New England setting, challenging 9-hole layout, and friendly, family-run atmosphere. Many visitors commend the course's elevation changes and overall condition, though some note that certain fairways and greens could benefit from additional maintenance. While the staff is generally praised for their welcoming nature, a few guests have encountered issues with course management and signage.

Amesbury Country Club is a classic New England course with real character and history. The layout offers some great elevation changes and scenic views, especially in the fall. The fairways and greens were in solid shape, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It’s a course that rewards accuracy and patience—challenging but fun. Only minor downside is that a few holes could use a little extra maintenance, but overall, it’s a great round of golf and a place I’ll definitely play again.

We enjoyed the little course. The greens were great. The fairways could have been a little bit better.

Fantastic small golf course with great patrons and staff. They use the honor system you can come as early as you want if you walk the course then pay when you finish! Thanks guys for a great round I’ll come back again when I’m working at Anna Jaques Hospital.

I played this course last Monday with my father and grandfather. This is a fun 9-hole course and the fairways are mostly open. There is some elevation but that did not pose too much of a challenge until the 9th hole, in my opinion. The conditions were pretty well kept, and the tee times were spaced out nicely, my grandfather has dementia so we were playing at a pretty slow pace, we didn’t have any groups catch up to us until the end, which we let them go by. Overall, I would definitely recommend this course to players of all ages/ skill sets. I will definitely be back.

Pretty good nine holes of golf, very wet tho. Fairways were missing some grass on them, same with a few greens. Pro shop guy was helpful since it was first time there. For the price I paid on Groupon would definitely do it again

Open hilly course, great to play if its wet and muddy elsewhere, as it doesn't have a lot of low marshy area. Nice golf shop and bar/cafe. 9 holes but interesting enough to play twice. 9th hole is a long uphill, (a 10 year old's fantasy sledding hill).

First time playing there. Very challenging with a lot of undulation changes in several fairways. It was fun! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Needs rain to get the fairways grown in.

I live in the area and play here a few times each season. I thoroughly enjoy the course layout and staff. Challenging and fairly priced!

The course itself was beautiful, but it was very poorly ran. The staff in the pro shop was very incompetent and treated me like an idiot for presenting a coupon. The holes are extremely poorly labeled, and the staff on the course was extremely rude. I will never return.

Challenging 9 hole course. Always a good time. From Greg the pro to Maria in the club house. A must visit if you haven't.
