In summary

Apple Hill Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the family-friendly par 3 course. However, many reviews highlight concerns about the course's maintenance, noting issues with fairways, greens, and bunkers, which detract from the overall experience. Despite its potential and interesting layout, the course's current condition is a common point of criticism.

Tee boxes a little rough, with a few frost mold patches on the greens, but great views and challenging up and down the mountain holes, had a great time and was greatful for M/A Beers.

Course is in really rough shape (pun intended). Has the potential to be a really sought after, beautiful place. It has interesting holes (especially hole 10) and fun architecture. It’s a shame that they aren’t willing to put more money into it to make it really next level beautiful. Witnessed empty bunkers, weeds growing out of the Fairway, (Fairway more like the rough), tee boxes that were mutilated, and literally as thick as rough. The greens were in decent shape but like putting on carpet. Embarrassing course management, three stars because his family owned and interesting layout.

Such a gem! This par 3 course was absolutely perfect for our family with young kids who love golf but aren’t quite ready for the bigger course next door. The shorter holes made it fun and manageable for little legs, and we especially loved the sweet picnic table at hole three where we stopped for dinner. It felt so relaxed and welcoming — one of the best family activities we’ve done together. Truly a quintessential experience!

Apple Hill is a fun and friendly course with a layout that makes for an enjoyable round. The staff is welcoming and the overall atmosphere has a classic New England golf feel. While the course has some spots that could use a little extra attention, it’s still a great value and a course I’m happy to come back to. Solid 4 stars.

I dont like to write bad reviews, but I feel like I have no other choice. I have been to this house several times over the years and you get what you would expect. It was a decent track for a decent price. I haven't been in a couple years, but decided to go again yesterday. The greens are rock hard(bad shape) and the fairways are even harder(worse shape), so every shot could go literally anywhere. I hit some shots dead center fairway that you could have thought hit a cart path and rifled out of bounds. Some par threes that were towering shots that landed just short of the green and ended up ob…

Has real potential but this course is in brutal shape. Fairways and rough are indistinguishable at times, weeds growing out of everything, bunkers fully overgrown, tee boxes completely demolished and borderline unusable on multiple holes… really frustrating conditions. The location is beautiful and the folks working there were incredibly kind so I have hope it’ll get better and truly want to see it in top shape but won’t be going back for a little while.

$35 to play weekday twilight 9. Learned to golf here so it’s a shame as I don’t remember it like this. Pay less to play at nicer courses in the area. Photo is of the 9th green closest to the parking lot. We knew what we were getting ourselves into but it’s really a shame it was this bad.

Dad and myself played this course last week. Front Staff and starter were friendly and helpful as usual. But my lord the course is absolutely terrible. Fairways are patchy and brown. Greens are Aerated(middle of July) and full of brown patches as well as other forms of damage to the greens. They seem to have given up on bunkers all together as they have not been cared for at all. No new sand at all. Grass is growing through the bunkers. The mowing is awful and they’re leaving huge chunks of grass all over the fairways. This course used to be amazing a couple years ago. I’m really bummed they h…

Decent course given the drought conditions. Prioritized irrigation for the greens which was smart because they were great. Basic, short older New England design. Nothing fancy but a nice ego boost (and handicap). With the drought-induced September rolls, many of the par-4s can be driven, even witnessed another gentleman's first eagle. Would give 4-5 stars if the greens fees were commensurate with the course.

Fun course run by great people! If you are looking for a well maintained course that is a blast to play, I recommend this course! You will find yourself coming back to play many times more.

Played the front 9 early in the season. Course is in good shape for all the rain and snow. Management is very pleasant. Will certainly be back.

Nice people working there but the par 3 course was a mess. Most of the greens were sand and weeds, it wasn’t recently mowed and the balls were sinking and hard to find. Over priced considering the conditions. I would not recommend. The regular course may be fine.
