Lovely property but much too expensive for quality of accommodations. The food was very good and the staff were very nice. Our house had ant infestation. Porches were not clean or swept. No corkscrew. One of our nespresso machines didn't not work. Too few nespresso pods provided for 13 people. They did bring more upon request. There was a tree outside our house that was not trimmed and we had to navigate the branches each time we left. My room only had one robe. Dusty blinds and mantel. Dead centipede on my vanity bench. All this I could overlook if I hadn't paid $8400 for two nights. I was…

Every time I go to Barnsley it is always a great time. Atttended the James Beard event. Started with a history and wine tour with Daisy and Karry. Ended in the ruins with sommelier Michael. Great day. Dinner that night at the Jules restaurant. Kris a master mixologist, Daisy, Lora, Adam, Drew pampered us while Chef Doty and his team prepared amazing dishes. Shelby and Okan did a great job organizing the weekend including a book signing with Duane Nutter. The James Beard dinner was an amazing experience. Beautifully crafted dishes paired with great wine. Jason and his whole team worked very har…

Barnsley is a gem! Commenting here regarding a recent Wine and History Tour. It was exceptional! The history is truly amazing - really a love story! Our historian and wine guide were so much fun - lots of great stories and information about great wines. They worked together seamlessly. The wine tasting with Georgia’s only Master Sommelier was a highlight. We would definitely do this again!!

I was here for a business trip so I can't speak much about the prices, but the experience was exceptional! Usually business trips can feel busy, long, and very tiresome. However, coming back to this place immediately felt like we could take a breath and relax. The grounds were very well kept, my cottage felt very cozy, and the dining was delicious! Several of us talked about coming here again outside of business because we had such a great time!

I have been coming to Barnsley Gardens for years and each time am re-reminded of what a magical place it is. This time was no different. We were excited to share in the James Beard Foundation weekend experience. Just Incredible!! We enjoyed a history tour hosted by the talented Daisy and Karry ending in the ruins for a wine tasting with Master Sommelier Michael McNeill. Then on to the luxurious spa where Tanya’s deep tissue massage was the perfect way to top off the afternoon. I have had several massages at Barnsley and they never disappoint! On to Jules-night 1-where Kris, (amazing mixologist…

We recently stayed at The Inn at Barnsley Resort with our family and had the best time. Patricia at the front desk was a standout — she was so welcoming and quickly became our favorite. We loved sitting by the fire pit at night making s’mores and walking the grounds to take in all the Christmas decorations. The water fountain was iced over and it was magical at night. One day we logged over 10,000 steps without even realizing it! Our boys enjoyed fishing, and we loved seeing all the animals around the property. We ate dinner one evening at The Woodlands, which was very convenient since it’s l…

What an amazing weekend. Our first time at Barnsley and will definitely go back. It is the most relaxing atmosphere. The cottages are perfect. I especially loved how between all the cottages and hotel no cars were allowed. The entire area was walkable. It was picture perfect. You will not be disappointed. Paula Ann Blumsack

First stay at Barnsley, overall an enjoyable experience. The Biergarten is the highlight, centrally located to maximize social experience. Great for Families and kids, they had live music Friday and Saturday night. Food is good, breakfast could use some improvements (waffles are just ok, had no butter which was strange). Did have real maple syrup instead of the fake cheap stuff which was nice. Our disappointment from the weekend was dinner at Jules. Food is mediocre at best and overpriced for that level of quality. Met some locals on Saturday who said they never go there because of their frien…

Barnsley Resort in winter is something special. We stayed in late January and were blown away by how accommodating and intentional everything felt. Fire pits, heaters, cozy cabins with fireplaces—it’s built to make cold weather part of the experience. The resort feels like a small historic village you can wander through, with incredible food, a fun beer garden, and grounds that carry real character and nostalgia. Even without golf, the hiking trails in the cool weather were stunning, and the Beretta clay shooting experience was pure fun. What really stands out is the feeling—steady, grounding,…

We recently attended a wedding at Barnsley Gardens, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The entire property feels like a hidden gem—beautiful, serene, and perfectly maintained. The historic ruins, lush gardens, and peaceful woodland setting created a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and photos. It felt like stepping into a storybook. The wedding itself was flawlessly coordinated. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional, making sure every detail ran smoothly. From the ceremony space to the reception area, everything was thoughtfully arranged and beautifully…
