In summary

Bay County Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, offering a good value for golfers of all skill levels. The course is noted for its beautiful setting and reasonable fees, although some visitors mention issues with slow pace of play and occasional staff interactions. While the course allows patrons to bring their own food and drinks, the lack of on-site amenities like a 19th hole and updated bunkers are mentioned as areas for improvement.

Haven't been to this golf course in 15 years, still the same, but much better. The fairways are gorgeous.

Best maintained and priced course in Bay City. Honestly, it's as nice as Fortress and Sawmill and half the price. I'd give 5 stars if they switched from kitty litter to beach sand in the bunkers and opened up the 19th hole again. Thankfully, the bunkers are small and sparse, and you can just byo booze and food.

Love this course! Each hole is well groomed, and has it’s own particular challenge. Fees are the best around, especially closer to the evening. You must visit this course!

Nice course. Fareways were good. Some tee boxes had uneven footing. The mid-course bathrooms needed attention. Glad we were never in the bunkers.

Left my expensive sunglasses in the golf cart on accident when I turned it in. Surprise, surprise they mysteriously disappeared. They told me they would look for them and call me back but I never received a call. Whoever has them, I hope you enjoy your new glasses 😡

Love this course, it is really looking good even after a tough, slow & cool spring. The drainage challenges still affect play too often. Could some of the dead trees that get cut be replaced?

The course is in great shape, staff does a great job maintaining conditions. I do think they need to be more responsible regarding pace of play. It took me and a friend 3 hours to finish nine due to a pack of idiots in front of us. Please get a ranger to keep things moving.

Course and staff are awesome ground well kept. Negative The patrons that golf there. The amount of self entitlement because they paid a green fee or they have a membership. You can be playing by yourself and a foursome will not let you play through and explain they are members and don’t have to let people play through. Or throwing their garbage on the ground because they are expecting to be cleaned up after like a child. The patrons are the main reason I have only golfed there a few times this past couple years.

Played last weekend with my family, course is in fabulous shape. No real signature holes or anything that stands out but for the price it is a very well kept course that is a breathe of fresh air considering the other challenging courses in the area.

Great course, but I’ve never been yelled at a golf course for us “taking to long” or “bringing in more then 5 people” we let multiple people ahead. I apologize for bringing in more business. Disappointing because I enjoy the course. We won’t be back.

The Bay County Golf course has been my home course since I was 4. Great course, clean, and friendly people (for the most part). Today, I was in a group of 4 (all of us highly aware of golf standards/rules). No one behind us and no one in front. After finishing the front 9, we were the rudely interrupted by the ranger snipping at us saying that we were going way to slow. This abrupt conversation was taken while one of our group members was in the middle of hitting his shot. First of all, if you’re employed as a ranger, I would expect the ranger to be considerate of standard golf etiquette. Seco…

It was a good golf course. The Young Guys know what they are doing but the old man who drives around watching everyone is creepy. He will drive in front of you when u hit. So 4 star.
