Relaxing Solo Round – Great Afternoon! Walked on solo around 2 PM while in the area for work and finished by 4:45 PM riding. The groups ahead were kind enough to let me play through, making for a smooth and enjoyable pace. Course was in good shape overall — I’d give it a solid 7/10, greens good condition. One hole was under repair, but they adjusted it to a short par 3, which worked fine. Layout is challenging in a fun way, with water hazards on multiple holes and a few nice elevation changes that keep things interesting. Fantastic course. Price is unbeatable. Greens are exceptionally good and quick. Fairway is pretty well maintained. Pretty challenging course. Really enjoyed playing. Fairly walkable, but there are a couple of holes with some distance between green and next tee box.

Been playing Bay Forest since I moved here 15 years ago. Well maintained, nice muni course. I was playing a weekday afternoon round the other day though and witnessed something not great. I watched a marshal ride up to what looked to be a high school girl playing a practice round. He told her she walked to the wrong hole and her correct hole was around the corner. She looked embarrassed and apologized. As he rode off he yelled something at her. At my next hole, I saw her come around the corner with a red face and she was upset. What a guy. One of the best municipal courses in Texas. The customer service, course conditions, and practice facilities were all top-notch. Big thanks to the GM Billy for helping add a third golfer last minute, he went above and beyond to accommodate us. The greens were in phenomenal shape, the fairways lush and well-maintained, and the large practice range lets you hit off real grass. The chipping area and putting green are expansive and even includes a practice bunker. Highly recommend this course to golfers of all levels!

Like this course. It was really neat and a little out of nowhere and a far drive fro.lm me but wanted to try it and met some cool people. A lot of the holes were good. Carts need an upgrade as they made funny noises.

Excellent course for a great price. Great layout, the greens look great and run a decent speed. Sometimes it can be a little too crowded, but that is expected for a local muni.

Definitely one of the best municiple public course of the over 100 I've played around the county. Beautifully maintained from tee box to pin. The quality of the course and the intersting layout is as good as you would find anywhere. Clean tee boxes, low cut fairways with playable rough and firm and fast greens. Water does come into play on many of the holes, but no forced carries, from the tees anyway. There were several holes that I had to lay up. The course is wide open for the most part. Best muni course around. The staff is cool and they work their butts off to keep the greens, fairways and tee boxes in excellent condition! Will definitely be back many times.

Nice challenging course (with all the water). Had to select right club to either layup or hit over water. Course condition was nice. Got good deal for later tee time and was worth hour drive. Only complaint was i played with a 3 some and they made us take only 2 carts as they said they didn't have enough carts. When we were done there were still plenty of carts available and cart return was filled up.

I have played Bay Forest many times and in the past it has been good value and in reasonable shape. The same cannot be said now (October 2025): poor greens, tees like rocks, no sand in the bunkers, stinking water and overall a sense of disrepair on the fairways which are now incredibly worn and too bumpy to ride a cart without being thrown around. . Such a shame.

Sweet track. Friendly staff. Greens were in great shape. I truly enjoyed playing there and will definitely be back! Hopefully with a better score. 🥴🥴🥴
