In summary

Timber Creek Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic layout and friendly staff, offering three distinct nine-hole courses that many find enjoyable and well-designed. However, there are frequent concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly regarding the greens and fairways, which some feel do not justify the higher pricing. While some visitors have a positive experience with the facilities and customer service, others express dissatisfaction with the condition of the course and management's responsiveness to feedback.

The more I play golf the more I realize that every course has its own sets of issues. It can also be said that what makes a course good or bad can vary by opinion. Perhaps I am not a serious golfer, but for me course aesthetic and layout are just as important as course maintenance. This course is both beautiful and challenging. From the flowing creek to the thick forest and rolling hills this place offers some of the best views in the area. We played from the white tees and the par 4s felt a lot like par 5s at an average muni. You get to play two of the three 9 hole tracts as designated by the…

Decent course. Neat layout and it’s nice having 3 different 9’s. 4 stars because most of the greens were awesome but there were bit that were far less than stellar. Fairways and tee boxes were decent. Price-wise, >$80 with a cart is too much for this quality a course. I’d pay closer to $50-60 to come here again. Pace of play was fine, no real wow factors. Nice club house, outdated carts. 7/10 course that’s priced like a 9/10.

Staff is great, but ownership/management is terrible. They only care about money and not about the players or golf in general. a few months of the year, this course is usually very awful. They lost the fairways and greens for 2-3 months last year. Tee boxes are bad, and bunkers have hard galveston beach sand. Since I was not allowed to be a member anymore because i left a bad review in early 2025 (that i removed when conditions were better), I will never spend another dime there. Pretty bad when a business cannot take any constructive criticism. Its always busy simply because its a great locat…

If I could give this course zero stars I would. This course is complete trash. 80 bucks until 430 pm on the weekends. I wouldn't pay 40 bucks for this course in its current condition. It used to be a premium course in the Houston area but those days are LONG GONE. The fairways are absolutely atrocious. Good luck trying to take a divot. It's like hitting off concrete. The greens are about a 3 out of 10 and the tee boxes are even worse. It's like they've just given up and just going to keep charging 80 bucks because suckers like me keep paying it. Not anymore. Save your money and time and go to…

Beautiful course, very well designed and excellent greens. I really like the outdoor snack-shack idea and the starter Terry was very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Beautiful course in the woods of Friendswood. There is three separate nine’s at the club. Great practice facilities and lessons. Course is in great condition. The best part is the welcoming staff, they are very helpful on everything that I need

Enjoyed playing this course. Beginner friendly and staff is professional/courteous. Scenery is pleasant and not surrounded by a ton of houses. Greens could use some improvement but I’m sure keeping greens in great condition in Texas heat is no easy task while trying to balance competitive pricing.

Timber Creek is a great facility. The employees from the cart staff all the way to the head pro are all great and super helpful. The pro shop employees always make Timber Creek an enjoyable experience, especially the good looking dog Vinny that hangs out in there some days. The 3 nines all have great layouts and are always in relatively good shape. Be sure to stop in the grill after your round and try the food also! I highly recommend Timber Creek to anyone looking for an enjoyable day of golf!

Always a fun place to go play and the staff there works hard to try and make sure that you have a good time. Green fees are a little high on weekends but oh well. Courses is in great shape considering it's winter.

Ever wonder what happens to other courses range balls after they are no longer good for use? Timber Creek buys them! $13 for a bucket of balls and 50% no longer have dimples. This is highway robbery. Please get new range balls if you're going to keep charging these prices.

Tee boxes are never repaired and are horrible. Fairways are largely dead except for the st.augustine grass which shouldn’t be there. Greens have no grass base, you are putting really on just uneven dirt. Don’t play here. Owners need to sell it to someone who cares.

I will NEVER play here again. The greens are crap and the Marshall was rude. And everything went downhill from there. The fairways are crap no grass. . The greens have no grass. every year. I try to give this course a chance and every year they’re disappointment. Dont waste your money!!!!
