In summary

Blue Hill Golf Club is often praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with many appreciating the convenience of its location near Bergen County. The 27-hole setup offers a variety of experiences, and the pro shop is noted for its excellent service and good deals. However, some visitors have raised concerns about inconsistent course conditions, particularly regarding divots and rough areas, as well as occasional slow pace of play on weekends. Additionally, there are reports of insufficient water availability on the course.

No driving range. No drinking water available on course. Water fountains have been removed and not replaced. You will not see a beverage cart girl until around 9am. So if you are playing early bring water, as once again, there is no drinking water on the course. The course itself is beat up. Fairway has unfixed divots. Only primary cut. An inch off the fairway you will find an assortment of conditions. No grass, crab grass, thick grass and dirt. Around the greens also in bad shape. The movement of the town to remove town employees from the course maintenance has resulted in “dogtrack” like co…

Great public golf course and terrific service in the pro shop are what I remember about Blue Hill. I got a few great deals on FJ shirts, Srixon balls and a nice pair of waterproof FJ shoes. Check out the course and the pro shop if you’re in the area.

Beautifully maintained course with a great layout and challenging holes. Only a short drive from Bergen County, making it super convenient. Staff were welcoming, greens rolled true, and the overall pace of play was smooth. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Excellent course! 27 holes only about 15 minutes away from Bergen County. We really enjoyed our time here. Staff was nice and pace of play was pretty good. Seemed to be a big walker course.

Incident Report – Blue Hill Golf Course Date of Incident: April 20, 2025 Time: Approximately 4:30 PM (Our tee time was 3:26pm) Location: Hole 7 On April 20, 2025, at approximately 4:30PM, I was accompanying my two children—my 12-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter—along with another young girl (approximately 11 years old, not related to our family), while they played golf at Blue Hill Golf Course. I was not playing myself but was supervising the children on the course. While the children were on the green at Hole 7, a group behind us, consisting of three individuals—an older Caucasian man…

Enjoy playing here. Different challenges from all three nines. Pace of play could be better on weekends, especially early morning. Staff is nice and accommodating, course is in really good shape (even though some golfers should take more care with ball mark repairs). You will enjoy your round here and a cold one afterwards at The Castle. Played recently and course was in good shape, evidence of improvements are all around. Again, I believe that you will enjoy a round here (any combo of the three 9's will do). And I still recommend a cold one or two in O'Grady's Castle afterwards.

This is a great 27 hole course with each 9 hole offering a different experience. Stumbled upon this one accidentally but glad I did. Highly recommend this course and very fair priced.
