In summary

Rockleigh Golf Course is appreciated for its interesting layout and the potential for an enjoyable round, especially with its scenic setting and walkable courses. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues such as poor conditions of the greens and tee boxes, and the presence of goose droppings. Additionally, there are frequent complaints about unfriendly and unaccommodating staff, which detracts from the overall experience for some golfers.

The course is in very good shape. The greens are good or very good, and are generally guarded by bunkers. It is a rather long course with quite a few rolling hills and some water. Some staff members are not as friendly or helpful as you'd expect. The clubhouse desperately needs updating.

After playing Rockleigh Golf Course, it feels like a course that could be a lot better with more investment put into it. The layout itself is decent and there are enough interesting holes to keep the round from feeling boring, but the overall conditioning really holds it back. Several greens had goose droppings all over them, which got frustrating after a while, and parts of the course just looked worn down and under-maintained. You can tell the facility gets a lot of play, but it also feels like the budget hasn’t kept up with what the course needs. It’s still playable for a casual round, just…

Blue 9 maintenance is terrible! I wish they could do a better maintenance. Course layout is not so bad since there are par4 and par5. However, it’s almost impossible to put the tee on the grass at tea box areas as there is no grass and ground is so hard. One good thing is not too crowded if you play early in the morning. I might visit again as it’s close to my place.

This course has 9 nine hole courses. When you book for 18 holes, you will be playing Red and White courses. They are both walkable and both courses have great layout and each holds with own characters. You won't be bored playing this course.

The cool, autumn-like weather was refreshing, the course was in great condition, and I had an enjoyable day with a good score.

The desk workers and rangers are something else, ridiculously rude. Let me say we did make a mistake on our reservation but people make mistakes. We even called ahead of time to clear up the mishap. The gentleman we spoke to on the phone said come in, we will make it work. We arrive at the course and the man at the desk was raising his voice and causing an argument, wouldn’t even let us speak. We offered to switch to the blue course, they gave us grief about this. We finally get the gentleman we spoke to on the phone. He again helps us (I wish I knew his name, he was the only positive aspect o…

The course need to be seriously maintained. But I can see lots of potentials of the course. And it has some interesting designs, but need to seriously capitalize on your course. The 9 hold blue course is not playable. As one review said “if free won’t to play”, I have to agree. But I truly wish the course can be better. It is such a beautiful area and neighborhood. It is very sad to see the course gets deteriorated. To back up what I said, attached picture means 1,000 words.

I regretfully had to give this course a one-star rating. It’s undoubtedly one of the worst courses in Bergen County. The fairway and green are in terrible condition, and the bunkers are filled with water. The staff is incredibly rude and lacks any golf etiquette. When I checked in at the front desk, the guy had the worst attitude and started screaming at me because he thought I was underage to drive the cart. Even after I gave him my ID, he continued to give an attitude while checking me in. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone. The staff is terrible, and the golf course is a waste of mo…

This review is for the 9-hole course. We booked it for a quick day out. The check-in process was easy, and staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the course is in really bad shape. Some of the tee boxes are non-existent, totally unkept with not a patch of grass to be seen. Some of the greens were also in poor conditions, the ball bounced all over the rough grass. The worst part is the ducks and duck feces all over some of the areas of the course, truly a mess. We could not even find the 8th hole tee box, if it was there, it was under 2-inch-long grass, which you had to wait to tee off…

They are unreasonably strict at this course. They gave my fiancé an earful because I took pictures of my parents and him putting at their final hole. I never joined them during 9 hole session after my father had already paid for me days ago so I could just stay in the cart and translate for them.

KOREAN GOLFERS HEAVEN. Clean. Great putting grass. Affordable. Mostly Korean men and women practicing golf here. Golf cart rental available. Would come here again.

Rudest staff and an awful 9 hole on blue course. Greens were literally swamps and patchy and the course has no guidance on direction. On the 8th whole, you are literally hitting from a swampy area. The staff on the course was very rude and gave a lot of attitude for simple questions. It was our first (and last) time playing at this course, so we wanted to understand how to get around, but he gave us snarky comments. On the 9th hole, my fiance walked over to the 9th hole which is right next to the parking lot to take a photo of us playing, and this one man got in my face about how she wasn’t al…
