In summary

Brookwood Golf Course is frequently praised for its scenic layout, featuring a mix of challenging and open holes, and its well-maintained fairways and greens. The friendly and accommodating staff, along with the charming clubhouse, enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors mention occasional slow pace of play and minor maintenance issues, such as missing tee markers and less maintained paths.

First time going there. Had to ask where hole #1 was, wasn't clear at the Y path where 1 was. Lots of pathways that for a 1st timer can be confusing on some of the holes where the next hole is. But nice clubhouse & pro shop, nice fairways, greens were a little rough looking. No GPS on the golf carts, was kind of expecting that for the price. Pretty nice golf course

Beautiful course. First time playing this course. Going back again this next weekend with the bros and can’t wait for them to play as well. First 9 are tight and woody and take some extra skill, but still extremely fun.

This was a fun and challenging course! Front 9 was very hilly which made it difficult to track the ball, the back 9 opened up but the whole course was fun! My only complaint is how slow the course is. I've never played a 4:30 round and it felt long! We waited on every hole for the group in front of us which was frustrating. Some holes were rather dry as well but that happens wherever you play when it's been a hot summer with little rain! Overall I rate this a 4 out of 5!!

Really need a ranger on the course to keep the elderly moving at a good pace. Been waiting all day. Love the course. But when slow players dont let faster groups through, it's not a fun day. These same elderly gentlemen also kept driving their carts through the water hazards that are so clearly marked and with signs stating to drive around. If you cant even respect the course you are playing, you shouldn't be playing there.

Golf Course Review “Fore” U Wicked Girls Golf traveled to Brookwood Golf Course in Buchanan, MI. Brookwood is very popular and well attended throughout the day. We found a 1:00pm tee time to be the perfect time to hit the links. With easy reservations by phone thanks to the accommodating friendly staff, this destination is definitely a great value and offers a good mix of many of our favorite things to truly make golfing with the girls fun. And it’s convenient - only a short drive to Southwest Michigan from South Bend, IN. Packed with history and charm since the golf course opened in 1965, th…

5-stars because of the very good value. Paid $39 for 18 holes plus cart on a Saturday in June. The front 9 was very challenging, landscape has a lot of slopes and the greens were really tough. The back 9 was a lot more open with wider fairways and more flat. A bit less maintained than the front 9. There are few hazards which is great for golfers with poor accuracy like myself. Bunkers are almost non-existent, the few I saw were dried up due to poor maintenance but fine by me!

My first time playing this course, very nice, but frequent blind shots. Not a course to score well till you play it more than a few times

Easily booked a tee time on a Saturday, got a little bottle necked on the back nine, but I was golfing so it didn't matter. Will definitely go back

This course is extremely well maintained and designed. The owner, Mrs Thomas is not only an amazing teacher but an amazing golfer.

Excellent but hard course , you can get into trouble on the front 9 if you don't keep the ball in the fairway

This is a GREAT place to play. The course is in wonderful shape. Its challenging and fun but not to the point where the average player is overwhelmed. A standout point is the clubhouse staff. They are friendly, service oriented, and treat you like a friend. I'll definitely be playing there again and recommending the course to friends as well as to my company to host our outing.

Went for an hour with my 17yr old son for the driving range. First time visit at this course. The young man behind the pro shop counter was quite pleasant and answered the few questions I’d had. Although it baffles me that the staff isn’t more eager to bring in newcomers. If you want to know something about the course or options of becoming a member you definitely need to know the right questions to ask. The driving range is beautiful. Especially heading into the fall. Although very very squishy. Best way to describe it.
