In summary

Burning Tree Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and friendly, accommodating staff, offering a fun and open layout that appeals to both new and seasoned golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the course's fairway conditions, slow pace of play, and scheduling issues, with a few noting dissatisfaction with customer service experiences. Despite these criticisms, many find the course enjoyable and value its affordability.

Putrid golf course. Couldn’t play on 2 greens because they were in such bad shape that they put the “pin” in the sandy fairway. Just spend your money at Oak Country for a much better experience. If you want to walk a course Smiley’s is far and away much better (cannot believe I wrote that). Will never return to this dumpster fire that they call a golf course.

Great place to have a family get together and play golf for a nominal fee. The people are friendly and very accommodating!

Joke of an establishment. Closes at 8:00 and won’t let you play 9 past 5:30. Weird thing is I played here last week after getting off at 6:00. Called Oak Country down the street they said come on down and play. I would not waste your time with this golf course.

High quality greens, great accommodations for tee times, and decent pricing. The downside is the poorly maintained fairways and the ground hornets are out of control on a couple holes. I will return, but do NOT golf this course if you have allergies or high expectations.

Fairways need some work and the greens were decent; cart path is a dirt road so dust flies when it’s windy. Not a fan of the marshall who accused our group of not paying even though he was at the register when we did. The experience left a bad taste, so prob won’t go back.

Fun layout you can shoot well at. Greens are actually pretty decent. Maintenance of the rest of the course is mediocre. Scheduling and pace is absolutely terrible. I have taken over 4 hours to play 18 and have even just left at the turn because it’s so backed up. I have legitimately seen probably 20 people waiting to tee off on the first hole.

The course itself was fun, grass not too bad. The pace, scheduling (or lack of scheduling) was terrible. The course is only 9 holes, if you buy 18 holes it's making a second loop around. When we got back to hole 1, after slow pace on first round, there were FOUR groups on carts in line to start hole 1, we had to leave without playing all holes we paid for and weren't given a partial refund or even a simple "sorry". Will be choosing other courses in the future.

If I could of put zero stars I would have. Paid for a tee time on their website got to Golf course and they didn’t have it in their computer and with zero help from them I payed to drive there and play no golf. Safe to say this course is a joke

This course has improved a lot in the past few years. The greens are great, and the open layout and short rough means you shouldn't have to spend all day looking for lost balls. Not the most challenging course, but always fun to play.

It's a fun, inexpensive, open, 9 hole course on flat ground. Not a hurry up and wait country club course. I have played it at least a dozen times and never felt that group behind you that is pressuring you. Small town course with a laid back atmosphere. Long hitters can drive a couple of the Par 4's. Greens have always been in great shape, fairways can be a little rough but hey play it up! Great for new golfers, while veterans can take challenging chances and not always ruin your round. Being a lefty with a natural fade, I favor #6 and #9.

Great golf course and well kept greens and fairways. I just reviewed another course and said they didn't allow you to bring your own beer but it might have been this one. We tried and they caught us so you should be more sneaky if you want to try.

Don't come here. Would be better to play at Oak Country for half the price. Smileys is way better than both of these courses...somehow.
