In summary

Cairo Country Club, also known as Tired Creek Golf Course, is appreciated for its scenic setting, friendly staff, and well-maintained fairways, offering a layout that accommodates various skill levels. The course is noted for its character and affordability, with some reviewers highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and quality of the pro shop. However, there are concerns about the condition of the greens during certain seasons and occasional management issues leading to slow pace of play.

Tired Creek Golf Course is a pleasant surprise with a peaceful, natural setting. The layout offers a nice mix of open holes and tree-lined fairways, giving players both forgiving shots and some tighter challenges. Greens roll true and are well maintained, while the fairways are generally in good condition. Pace of play was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed. Staff were welcoming and helpful, which added to the positive experience. The course isn’t overly long, making it enjoyable for different skill levels, but still offers enough challenge to keep things interesting. On top…

I really enjoy this course. It’s challenging and fun. The first cut off of the fairway isn’t tall, but it’s dense as hell. I recommend staying on the fairway. That’s probably the first time you’ve heard that. Haha. The only issue we had this time was some of the greens. They were struggling to keep grass on some sections of some greens. It’s tough to hit a nice chip into sand on the green. I’m sure they’re doing the best they can winter is tough on grass. Anyway, I like the course.

What a fantastic course within easy driving distance to Tallahassee. Probably the nicest proshop employee of any golf course, very friendly with great conversation. Beautiful course despite the drought going on, has a lot of character with good layouts. Can’t wait to go back!

Just a note of compliments to your club house mgr, Ray, who is always pleasant , enthusiastic , helpful and he listens. I am passing thru from Ohio staying with a college buddy who lives in Tallahassee and had great time playing golf at your course

Played with a golf buddy on 10/12/25. Always enjoy the hospitality and layout of the course. Only reason for the 3 rating was the greens not transitioning well to the fall weather. For the most part the Bermuda was sparser and bumpier than usual. Cups needed moving also as they were a little rough around the edges. Overall I enjoy the course 3 to 4 times per year so not complaining too much. Looking forward to the greens getting better.

Just drove here from Tallahassee and the range is closed until 11am. Who shuts down the range on a Friday morning to mow??? Can this work not be managed during the less busy hours of the week? The course is already slammed pack every weekend and pace of play has gotten way out of hand to the point where I’ve had to literally pack up and leave on 3 rounds in the last 3 weeks due to large groups not letting me pass as a solo player. No marshall, no tee time organization, if you are going to charge a premium fee to golf at a mediocre course, it should at minimum be managed a little better….

We are three brothers who have been coming to Tired Creek from Tallahassee for the past 3 years. Our modus operandi is to tee off at 8:00 am or earlier, the first group on the course. Normally, we finish 18 holes in around 3 hours. Today, others had been allowed to start on other holes. Therefore, we were held up at 10, due to there being another group ahead of us. The coast should have been clear for us, but we had to wait. We moved on to another hole, only to find that even more groups had gotten ahead of us. Add all this to the group of elderly ladies, moving at a snail's pace, who very ang…

Really enjoyed this hidden gem of a course, beautiful fairways with a smart layout that is fun to play but, not to challenging for your average golfer. Some nice features included elevated greens and scenic water features. Did I mention its at a reasonable price? The staff at the pro shop where second to none, after just checking in me and my partner seriously considering becoming a member before taking a single swing. Speaking of pro shop, this small but mighty shop had a surprising number of clubs, balls and merch. All of which is top quality with some of the best brands. We will be back aga…

Shout out to Team @ Tired Creek! I lost my billfold on Friday April 12th, the day before my flight, and the team did everything they could to help me locate it. Showed up Saturday morning at course before opening and a young man’s friend had given him my billfold which worked out perfectly! Thanks to the entire barn team and staff for all you did and special thanks to the stranger who found my billfold. Sincerely happy customer! And BTW course was in great shape and fun day of golf!
