What People Say

In summary

Caroline Country Club receives praise for its potential and the friendliness of its staff, with some visitors appreciating the challenging layout and event facilities. However, many reviews highlight concerns about the current condition of the golf course, noting issues such as overgrown greens, lack of sand in bunkers, and high pricing relative to the course's state. While some patrons remain hopeful for improvements, others express dissatisfaction with the maintenance and value for money.

This course has improved significantly since reopening last year. My only gripes are the greens are slow and need to be cured, and there are no bunkers, but they are trying for a solution for that. Don't judge it too hard its only been open for about 9 months it takes time.

Glad to see it reopened and available to the public but the course is in very rough condition. It was expected, especially after being closed for so long but the prices don't reflect. I think it's significantly overpriced for what you get at this point. Several of the greens were flooded and the cups were filled with water. Not sure I'll return this year, maybe I'll try again next year but for the price, I will just golf the Hyatt.

First time there today, really enjoyed playing there today. Very nice challenging course, greens needs little work but not as bad as some reviews I saw. I will definitely be playing again there soon

I have high hopes for this course. It's a great place to play. Unfortunately right now the condition does not allow for a serious round of golf. The T-boxes, fairways, & Greens are overgrown and need to be conditioned better to play. It seems that they are cutting everything but not with the necessary equipment to groom the course properly. At this time I would say the course is not worth the price. I sincerely hope things improve. I would love to see this course be successful.

Staff was very pleasant. Price was comparable to surrounding greens fees but the condition was not. I understand it takes time to reopen and that the course won't be in the best shape but the price is absolutely absurd for the current condition. I felt like an investor not a guest. Will return when prices drop or condition improves.

Unfortunately the course was just not ready to open yet. No sand in bunkers. Greens have all kinds of weeds, holes and are just not puttable yet. Everything looks like it was cut with the same mower. Layout has plenty of potential and once the greens are ready they have alot of different elevations which will make putting tricky and fun to try to read. Will not be visiting the course again this year and strongly considering skipping next year. A letdown for a course that is so local. Prices really need to come down to reflect what the course is currently. The local government run county cou…

Course was in rough shape, most greens need work and no sand in the bunkers. Hope they can turn things around as generally we like playing the course.

As bad as it gets. If you are heading here, turn around. Read different marketing about the ‘Grand Re-Opening’, but they need to have a ‘Grand Re-Closing’. The greens are in worse conditions than the roughs. No sand in bunkers. Zero difference or separation in the fairways, tee boxes, greens, and rough. It’s literally an open field with a pin placed here and there and called a ‘golf course’. Got penalized and had to pay extra because we didn’t have a 2nd person in one of the golf carts. Decided to keep trying to play since we drove so far and the weather was so nice, until we got to #10 and al…

I’m only giving five stars for the vision this course has, I don’t see how the re opening will want players there , can’t even “practice” out there . Hopefully next year it’s playable great potential for this course

Golf course is completely unattended to, overgrown in every aspect. Tee boxes are uncut. Where the “bunkers” used to be is holes of overgrown grass. Complete overcharge and ridiculous amount to pay for a un maintained golf course

If I could give the golf course a 0 star review I would. The fact that they opened up the course like this and are charging $80 per person is actual theft and the owners/management should be ashamed. Unplayable.

We got married at the Caroline Country Club this weekend and everything was absolutely perfect! This was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue that offered everything we needed and more! The event manager and owner worked with us to make sure we had everything we could possibly need (as far as the venue was concerned) and we're very flexible to our needs. I highly recommend for any special event!
