In summary

Cary Country Club is praised for its scenic layout, featuring challenging elevation changes and well-maintained greens, offering a picturesque golfing experience along the Fox River. The course is considered a great value with reasonable rates and a friendly atmosphere, making it a popular choice for many golfers. However, some visitors have reported issues with staff rudeness and customer service, as well as concerns about slow pace of play and course management.

Very interesting and old-school design course. Terrain is a significant defender of this track, along with green side sand traps. Mature trees abound as well. Great views from several tee boxes. Greens in good condition. Course is maintained relatively well. Carts are basic and without GPS. Rough can be thick in places. Pace of play for a weekday round was good. I do recommend this course. Enjoy your round.

It is a nice course. We played a Fall/Winter round and the course was still very nice. They have sanded the greens for the season so they are slow right now. It is a long course. I recommend playing here.

I'd like to give 3.5 stars but unable to. The course is fun and the different elevations give a twist that not many courses in the north, northwest suburbs can provide. The biggest issues are the slopes of the greens. They are very steep and missing a putt and having it roll off of the green is painful. Most golfers at this course are weekend players who want to enjoy a nice challenging course. Not a course that punishes you for a missed putt.

Beautiful, well maintained course, and prices are reasonable, too! Kathy on the beverage cart was great, and we had excellent service at the bar! Wonderful way to spend a Fall afternoon!

Stay away. Came here with my son who’s 9.5 years old. Didn’t see the small disclaimer that kids must be 10 years or older to play. I’ve never had an issue with this. What was the deciding factor for me wasn’t even the fact my son and I couldn’t play and had to cancel. It was that the manager was extremely rude. She pointed at a sign and told me to look at “kids under 10 can’t play” and told me HE CANT PLAY HERE. My son felt extremely uncomfortable and I admittedly got pissed by the way the “manager” handled the situation. Next time ask how old the kid is. Maybe even consider that you’re abou…

I had a very disappointing experience at Cary Golf Course. Our tee time was 12:06 and we went there around 11:10 am. We were trying to check in early and the staff said he could not accept it because we were using Golfmouse voucher. The staff, Kate, proshop manager was so mean and very rude. There were tons of empty golf carts available. They wanted to come back later so we went there again around 11:40 am. I don't understand why they could not check us in early and she yelled at one of our member when asked her a question. We expected a good and fun round of golf but it was frustrating experi…

Very disappointing. My family has been going to CCC for the past 40 yrs. Can’t fault the course for my review. I’ve always loved it. I’m not sure why the staff is so rude. From the starter who can’t get the groups off in order, to the grumpy guy in the pro shop who treats you like he wished you had never walked in. I guess I won’t any more. Off the list.

Staff was lacking enthusiasm and showed no smiles ...almost a disrespect to us the customers The course was challenging, however it would have been more enjoyable if there was management of pace of play and consideration of course etiquette...waited on every shot as we watched other players driving their carts back and force while playingtheir music...disappointing adventure ...
