In summary

Cave Creek Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging yet playable layout, friendly and helpful staff, and good value, particularly during the winter season. The course offers beautiful views, decent greens, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it suitable for both experienced golfers and families. However, some visitors have noted issues with the condition of cart paths, tee boxes, and pace of play, as well as occasional scheduling errors with tee times.

As City courses go, you cannot do any better! Always well maintained. Friendly and hard working staff

One of the best golf values in the valley. The course is challenging but very playable, lots of elevation change and interesting terrain. Don't expect immaculate conditions, but the greens are generally quite good and consistent. Fairways are also pretty good and there's minimal rough. In the winter, you won't find a better deal to play.

For the price ($70) during what is prime season in AZ, it’s tough to beat. Is the course perfect? No. Are the tee boxes a little rough around the edges at times? Sure. But are the greens fast and have unique undulations and pin positions? YES! It’s a nice enough course, nice greens and pretty open so even some sprayed shots can stay in play and give you a chance to shoot low. Get a group together and enjoy the lower price (compared to others) and solid course with decent enough conditions. (I’m picky too, so trust me lol)

Overpriced! Paid $82 on Memorial day. Cart paths in horrible condition & half the holes had no ball washers. OB areas are full of homeless trash & the cart I had was flaky. Only plus was the very excellent condition of the greens. Will not be wasting my hard earned money here again.

Checked in with the pro shop to schedule a tee time for next week. I'm going to join Phoenix City courses because, as a resident, you get a lower rate and other benefits. Purchased a golf cap and a bucket of range balls. Staff is very professional, courteous, and helpful. Looking forward to playing 18!!

A typical municipal course that gets a lot of play. The fairways were ok but sanding divots isn't practiced as much as it should. Cart paths are poor to not existent. The greens had character and putted good.

The course itself is nice for the money but they do not make any effort to maintain pace of play. The last few times I’ve been here there have been times where 3-4 groups are stacked up on a tee box stuck behind 1 slow group. The Marshall does not care at all and makes 0 effort to increase pace of play. I can understand it happens occasionally but is a repeat issue at this place.

I don't particularly like Cave Creek golf course, I only played there today because my group needed a 4th. The driving range is crap; see the photo. They verta cut several greens, which makes putting a nightmare; see photo. Most of the Tee-boxes were extremely rough. I know they have one of the largest Men's Clubs in the valley, and that does surprise me. Oh well, maybe I'll play there again, most likely not.

I've always loved this course. Pretty good shape despite the preceding 5 days of heavy rain. Fantastic customer service and a really tasty lunch too! Oh, and I birdied #18! What a great day!

Excellent course! Beautiful views, nice range, new carts, fun holes, and outstanding staff! The Cantina has great burgers and ice cold beer too.

This was my first time playing this course in a few years. All I can say is, I was pleasantly surprised. The course was in terrific shape. The greens were fantastic and fairways were decent. The course layout is slightly confusing at times but there are some extremely fun, creative holes on this beautiful track. There is so much wildlife and beauty on this course. The staff were very friendly. The range was decent and for the cost, and considering it was built on a landfill, this course is a gem in northern Phoenix. Definitely a great place to play if in the area.

Good course for the value (at least as good as you should expect for the cost, relative to the rest of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area). More forgiving than most of the local courses. It's walkable, which is a bonus.
