In summary

Paradise Valley Park Golf Course is appreciated for its accessibility and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the driving range and practice facilities. However, many reviews highlight significant maintenance issues, including dry and unkempt fairways, poor greens, and outdated equipment, which detract from the overall experience. Additionally, some patrons have encountered unfriendly service and feel that the course requires more investment to reach its potential.

This is an easily accessible golf course on Union Hills around 35th st next to Paradise Valley Community College. There is a driving range (large bucket 100 balls $12.00), putting green, chipping area and an 18 hole course. Easy course to play, highly recommended for beginners or persons that haven't played in awhile to brush-up on their game. The Pro shop where you check in, I met Brandon, great guy, very friendly and helpful. He informed me of where everything was located, course hours, and asked for a Google review. I was satisfied with the Driving range, chipping, and putting areas. I high…

Course was super dry and greens were like concrete. A lot of dirt everywhere. There was a guy driving around on a bobcat with a mower or something attached while we golfing on a couple holes and was blowing dirt and dust everywhere. Super disappointed, why would you do that while people are on the course. Save your money!

The place is in simply horrible condition! Wait, the greens were actually semi-impressive, but everything else is a disaster. Weeds. Dirt. Broken up and crumbling cart paths. The city of Phoenix must be putting in literally $0 into this place. It's a shame, it could be a fun little course but the condition is atrocious.

Hard no, from the practice green to the chipping area, driving range. Everything is in poor condition. Forgot to mention that a small bucket of range balls are $10.00, that includes range balls with little to no dimples on them. I have not played here yet, but I can imagine how the course looks after my first initial impression of the practice areas.

I really want to like this facility after several years of attending. But several reasons are preventing me from doing so. 1) Some of the staff is VERY rude. 2)They recently raised prices of range ball buckets and were very transparent about why (increased golf ball prices from their supplier) with signage around the facility. However, the last few times I’ve visited, my 75 ball bucket has had more balls without dimples than new balls. They need to throw out all the old worn out balls with no dimples but they refuse to do so for some reason. 3)They run out of buckets at the range ball dispense…

My son and I had the best experience today - the Fairways and greens are in good shape. Very user friendly place.

driving range is 99% divots, 1% playable grass - range balls look like they've been there since the 90's

Brought my son here to hit golf balls for the first time. They were super busy and the gentleman inside was very helpful. Although he seemed a little agitated by a phone call, he treated me nicely and with respect. I thought the driving range was perfect for what we needed it for. I thought the price of balls was reasonable as well… $14 for 100. I also asked the gentleman working if they did lessons for kids and he was more than helpful and able to answer all of my questions. I can’t/won’t comment on the course since I have no idea about it. We will return again and would recommend to anyone w…

Like most of the recent reviews have mentioned, this place needs some serious maintenance. Dirt and dead grass make up about 50% of the entire course. It has quite a lot of potential as this executive course offers some fun holes (I wish there were one or two more Par 4’s or 5’s). It was $40/golfer and it’s clear that you get what you pay for. Also, why is foot golf on this course? If PV Golf Course truly wants to improve and bring people in they need to get rid of that fake sport.

The guy at the desk was unnecessarily rude. He came out and yelled at us when we had just been informed politely by a guy on the course of the issue. It was our second time so we didn’t know better. The guy on the course was nice but the desk guy was rude. The course was okay considering it’s Phoenix but the service lacked.

Despite the negative reviews, I decided to give this place a try yesterday and boy do I regret it! This is the worst golf course I've played; the fairways were goat pastured maintained and nothing but dirt, staff was not friendly, the greens were the only thing that were semi maintained. I would pay the extra few bucks and play a different course!

I've always loved this course but the quality has dropped drastically over the last year or 2. The fairways are mostly dirt/mud. The greens (outside of the 1st hole) are pretty well kept but so much foliage/trash on them. Tee boxes were mostly terrible.. I really hope something is done cause its a fun course to play but the conditions make it close to unplayable.
