In summary

Kierland Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and accommodating staff, and beautiful setting, making it a popular choice among golfers. The layout is generally considered forgiving yet offers some challenging aspects around the greens. However, some visitors have noted issues with course management, such as unexpected changes in tee times, and occasional dissatisfaction with the pace of play and pricing.

Compared to other top courses in Scottsdale, this course is quite average. However, it’s still a great option to play when you can get significant discounts. The course itself was easy, and the layouts weren’t particularly special. One unfortunate experience we had was when we finished playing. The staff helped us move our clubs to the bag drop area, but they threw everything in the cart into the trash, including our personal belongings. I expected them to check with us first if they noticed that we still had a lot of items in the cart.

Nice course to play while we stayed at Westin Kierland Villas…in January so expensive at 199/per…we did get a 10% discount for staying onsite….Greens were nice but the fairways have quite a bit of desert ground….so lots of dirt and tiny rocks to contend with..and really deep bunkers 😱 we played mesquite and ironwood for our 18…. Pretty compact course nd pretty scenery

Course was in great shape and great layout. Arrival and pro shop staff were great. Early morning tee off at end of April in great weather. However, this is not for a group that wants to relax and have a good time. We saw the marshal every other hole, didn't see the beverage cart until hole 8 and then again on 17. Played decent pace, after first couple of holes the group in front was a hole or so in front of us, and never saw the group behind us on the tee box waiting. Yet we continued to see marshals talking about pace of play. The kid on the back 9 (hole 11) actually told us the next time aro…

Nice resort golf course. Most holes feed into the fairway, but still a good mix of challenging ones. In great shape for the beginning of June in Phoenix/Scottsdale. A lot of pretty views.

Always love playing the course, very forgiving layout and lots of opportunities to score. Two of the 9 hole courses have 2 par threes and 2 par fives, and the other one has 3 of each. Greens roll true and hold spin well, fairways roll out well with topspin since they keep them pretty low. Layout favors a fade but if you know how to line up and control a draw it can reward you with some monster drives from rollout. Always a blast playing and pro shop staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great location and multiple options for food and drinks in walking distance of the course.

Unfortunately, what should have been an amazing day on one of the best courses I’ve had the opportunity to play was completely ruined by one of the player assistants on the course. I have played at 100+ courses across the country and I have never been disrespected the way that we were on your course. Everything else on the day was great but one interaction completely ruined everything. Management was supposed to call me back to discuss, but failed to follow through on that request as well. Great course, but I will never play it again and will encourage everyone I know to go somewhere where th…

We had another fantastic golf outing playing the Acacia and Mesquite courses. Our positive experience did not end well when one of the seasoned bag associates assured us that our bags would be brought to the bag drop area. When we returned our bags were left down below. The only two bags left unattended in the lower area. The first time this has happened in our three times playing here. Brian Chapman - Troon Member

Great place to stay. Great staff. Supper friendly. If you play golf here bring rope the 18 hole for some reason is cart path only. Why they would make this hole cart path only? The finishing hole is a nightmare. Stop at 17 unless you hire a Sherpa? WTH? Does NOT make sense how beautiful everything is except for the 18? WTH???????

Incredible course. Challenging but fun. Fairways and greens were immaculate and the staff was super nice and friendly. Played with Mike Truty, who had these weird oblong golf balls that he wouldn’t shut up about. He shot 218. Be sure to get a breakfast taco at Edie’s!

I booked a last tee time on Course 1 specifically because it was wide open first thing this am—I wanted to play solo and experience a course I hadn’t played before. When I checked in, the pro shop mentioned there might be minor delays due to the grounds crew still being out, which I was completely fine with. However, just before heading out, the starter reassigned me to a different course (one I’ve already played) and grouped me with a twosome and another single who was walking. The group itself was great, but that wasn’t the experience I intentionally booked. It’s frustrating to select a sp…

Played a round of 18 (ironwood/acacia) in March 2024- and it was our first time playing resort golf. What a treat! Most of the fairways funneled in, so odds were that you’d land on the fairway regardless of your slice/hook. The first time that I’ve played 18 and didn’t lose a ball. Greens were trickier though, but we’ll definitely be looking out for smile courses in the future. Of, also they have a Ping fitting setup at the range (sign up far in advance)

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this golf course and the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. What made the day even more special is that my fiancé proposed to me here—and the team went above and beyond to make sure it was an unforgettable moment. After the proposal, they surprised us with engraved ball markers featuring the date, which was such a thoughtful and meaningful touch. It’s rare to find a place that not only offers a beautiful course but also creates lasting memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make…
