In summary

Cedar Lake Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic layout, friendly staff, and affordability, making it a welcoming spot for both beginners and experienced golfers. The course is generally well-maintained with wide fairways and a challenging back nine, though some visitors have noted issues with slow greens and occasional crowding. While many enjoy the overall experience, there have been isolated complaints about customer service and pricing discrepancies.

My community golf club... I walk and review different parks and trails. This place has awesome scenery and great fairways, a couple lakes and the grounds are well maintained. However, I did experience some of what I felt was racism by a customer and a former employee (I wish I could remember his name)... Basically, telling me I could not walk through the course on the trail specifically MADE for walking and the rolling carts! HOWEVER, refusing to leave upon the request of what I knew was a unpleased peasant, and after checking with the front desk about the actual rules and regulations, the OWN…

Great time. Nice course. Friendly staff. Has some great views. It’s like a mini Stone Mountain on the back nine. Check it out if you’re in the area.

Course was fun… greens are in terrible shape mid-summer. They play extremely slow and bumpy. Played the front nine, and arrived at the clubhouse at 11:37 for some lunch. Got my food (great selection) and went to the register. The lady REFUSED to serve me, saying that the register was closed, as she made more sandwiches 8 feet away. She made me put everything back and I walked out. Food is closed at the turn… at 11:37am… weird business. Won’t be back.

We’ve played here once before with no issues other than the greens not being in the best shape, but yesterday we decided to book a 3:00 tee time and play as many as we could before it got too dark. We check in and were told that we could play until we couldn’t see anymore and specifically “I hope y'all are able to play as close to 18 holes as you can”. Given that there were 4 of us, we were playing on the slower side, simply enjoying our time together with family. Well we were on the 14th hole when the same worker that checked us in drove to find us playing on the course, he completely started…

Booked the last tee time of the day today and as I start heading to the first tee box there are 7 yes 7 carts all at the first tee box waiting to tee off. I just don’t understand how you can let it get that backed up. Also according to the website a public tee time on this day was $32.. get to the course and I am charged $42. Either charge the correct amount on weekdays or fix your website prices so there’s no misunderstandings.

We played the course yesterday as a group for the 1st time. The course was in great shape. The greens were soft, the speed was average but it rolled true. The #1 handicap par 3 played true to form, with 12 players no one hit the green in regulation. The staff was absolutely amazing! For the price it was a surprisingly steal. We definitely going back.

I designed and supervised the construction of Cedar Lakes beginning in 1966. I was 23. Complete my work in 1968. Photos: my 65 VW. A shot from #5 t-box towards the green location. And a big dozer pushing dirt near #9 green.

Cedar Lakes is a great golf course for the money. I recommend it for golfers of nearly any skill level. Pros: - Fair Price - Solid Course Layout - Wide Fairways - Excellent Greens Cons: - Unlevel Tee Boxes - Muddy Patches In Fairways - Too Much Water Retention - Poor Pace Of Play

I am late to the game. I have played a couple of times in my life, but never got serious about it till I was 56 or so. Cedar Lake is where I am learning the game. My friends would add, "slowly". The fairways, that I sometimes hit, are nice and wide, and the layout geometry is challenging but manageable. Some of the tee boxes are newly renovated but all of them are in good shape. The course is welcoming to all people. They let me play there, after all. It has some very nice scenery which on occasion does tend to temporarily achieve magnificence. Iykyk... Overall, a great club, great staff, gr…

Enjoying playing this past weekend with family and friends. We’ve played her several times and always have fun. It’s a course where you need to make adjustments to your game otherwise you’ll be playing in some rough places. The greens are in great shape, putted true and were soft. The staff is always friendly and they have new golf carts, yah! They offer frequent playing cards for every $30 spent you get a punch, get 10 punches and you get a free round. Not bad. We’ll be back.
