Chenango Valley State Park Golf Course

Went to Chenango Valley today. Great golf course, I would say a little hard for a beginner just starting their golfing journey but great for anyone that’s shooting regularly under 120, price was very fair, fairways and greens in good condition, make sure you have a solid amount of balls with you, some fairways are narrow off the drives. First let me say every employee there was a true professional and personable. From the young lady at the grille to the gentleman in the pro shop. Played this track a few days ago. Wow.. tough course in great shape with amazing views and interesting holes. Will be back for another crack at this hidden gem of a course.

The course was in nice shape. Cart paths getting worked on. Some long holes and some shorter ones. Tricky greens, as per usual on munis.

Its a golf course. Would be put to better use converted to a championship Gold level Disc Golf course. Cheaper to maintain and has a much smaller environmental impact.

The course is not very long yardage-wise but was somewhat of a challenge because of the numerous dogleg holes on the course. A number of the holes had a lot of dry (no grass) spots from 120-yards on in towards the green which was frustrating. The cart paths were not in good condition with numerous pot holes throughout but manageable for the most part. Overall a decent course if course cosmetics is not a priority for anyone wanting to enjoy an average round of golf.

State Park courses tend to be Fantastic experiences and Chenango Valley checks all the boxes. Good layout in fantastic condition and exceptional value. The bunkers were the only sore spot but it appeared that it was going to be addressed soon. Looking for to my next visit.

Challenging. Not much yardage, but Lots of elevation changes and narrow tee shots. Very scenic. Decent price. I found the greens just ok... kinda slow and some rough spots. Worth the drive.

Great course. Great price. Awesome conditions, greens are nice, clubhouse staff are wonderful. $27/w cart after 1pm. Are u kidding me? This is literally a gem for the Southern Tier. Saw about 6 deer today, 3 chipmunks, some squirrels and a turtle. I took a star off for not having a beer/drink cart person on the course selling beverages.

Course is great per my CV park review. So many animals to see and pause while you're on the course. Great prices for 18 with a cart and it's discounted after 1pm on the weekends. My only real disappointment was with the American grill. It's awesome there are new opportunities for campers, golfers, Uber eats, etc. The price and quality is under contention. Food is hit or miss and it is not cheap. $7 for a hot dog and hand cut chips isn't horrible. But I do miss the days of $2 hot dogs on the turn.

Outstanding!! One of the Best Public NY State Golf Courses I have ever played.. Challenging for even the Low Handicapper.. Beautiful Layout.. Beautiful Scenery.. Very Well Maintained.. Well Manicured Fast Greens.. Keep a Watch Out for the Deer, Foxes and Bald Eagles, Yes, more than one..

For my sister's birthday we decided to get together and play golf. Had just bought brand new irons and was looking foward to it..74$ 18 holes not a problem at all. We had a worker follow us through 12 holes stalking us. I approached him and asked what the problem is calmly. He said he was making sure we were playing in a group of 4 which when I paid I explained this. We went 12 holes with some older gentleman following us in the woods...it was uncomfortable having him brake gas everytime we moved. I didn't pay 74$ for some guy to stalk me and my wife.
