In summary

Genegantslet Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly and helpful staff, picturesque setting, and reasonable pricing, making it a pleasant spot for both golfing and events. The course offers a fun challenge with well-maintained greens, though some visitors have noted issues with overgrown fairways and slow pace of play. Additionally, while the venue is praised for hosting events and weddings, there have been occasional concerns about course conditions due to weather impacts.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The course was in good condition after a few days of rain. The greens were still soft and a little slow after noon because it was a cool day. This would have been a 5 star review if the fairway grass had been cut. It was like playing all shots from the rough. Greens and fringes had been cut and were very good.

First timer who really enjoyed myself. Great place to get your confidence up. You can kind of tell where the fairway is, and I'm guessing flooding wiped out some of the sand traps, but for about 35 bucks on the weekend (dirt cheap), and a very nice, pretty little spot without a ton of pressure. Very nice staff as well. I'll be coming again for sure.

Horribly maintained. Every part of the course is overgrown with an abismal 40$ fee. Balls straight down the fairway get lost because of how high the grass is . Tee boxes are also overgrown. Surely won’t be coming here again .

I'm new to golf as in I have played twice both times at Genegantslet. Every time I have gone the staff has been amazing as well as other golfers. Today I went with my son for his birthday. We had a great time and the older gentleman took time to talk to my son, wish him a happy birthday and on our way out ask him how the birthday boy did. To me good people make a place great. I have no comparison but the 9 hole course is a blast. Definitely would recommend for new players.

Been here a few times over the years and always had a good experience. Stopped in for Father's Day and even during the pandemic they were still super helpful and friendly while maintaining social distancing and masking policies. We ordered simple meals and they were quick and delicious.

Genny is always a nice, friendly golf course. The greens were the best I've ever seen them, rolling very true. 17 is a long hitter dream, par 4, then 18 is an incredible challenging par 5, especially if you want to get there in 2 !

First time here: holes weren't properly marked so had no clue where hole 2 was vs. 3, 4, 5, 6, and so on. Literally had to follow the guys in front of us. As someone new to the course...having markers would HELP out a lot! Not spread out at all...fairways are so tight. Extremely crowded today. If I would have known a 6-some went out before me, I would have tee'd off of 10. Had beers. Not ONE garbage can on the course. Perhaps they're out in the summer however they were non-existent today (11-5-2022). Needless to say...I won't be back again. Ever. One star because the girl behind the bar was ve…

My daughter was married there 8 years ago and it was so pretty! Now, there are so many dead trees on the golf course that it almost looks haunted. We still had a good time golfing there!

I got Married at Genegantslet this last Saturday and we can't say enough good things about them! Amy who coordinates all their events bent over backwards to accommodate us. She worked with our budget and thought of everything from decorating to making sure the bridal party got hors d'oeuvres while taking pictures. Everything was perfect and all our guests couldn't stop raving about how nice everything was. The food was heavenly the beer was crisp and cold the staff was friendly, smiling, and attentive. I truly feel like if we had picked any other venue our day wouldn't have been even half the…

Made a tee time in advance and when we arrived at the course they processed our debit cards and nonchalantly said we had to play the back none twice because a tournament was about to start. Why wouldn't you tell people on the phone that there is a tournament that day. Okay...so we make a quick phone call to another course and get a tee time in another hour. We go back in the pro shop and ask for our debit cards to be credited. They try to do this and then tell us they do not know how to credit our debit cards. How convenient... right. They were trained how to take your money but not to refund.…

The place should be closed for the year due to flooding and carts tearing up the course. There are two holes closed and there are about 5 holes that are basically unplayable due to standing water. Not a great experience for the money. I have played here other times and had an enjoyable time, however, this time I feel I should have been told of the condition of the course when booking.
