In summary

Chester Washington Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained fairways, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. However, many visitors express frustration with the slow pace of play and inconsistent tee time management, which can lead to long rounds. Additionally, some out-of-town players find the rental equipment outdated and customer service lacking in flexibility regarding cancellations and weather conditions.

Beautiful course. The greens are aerated now so they're a little tricky, but overall this course is well maintained. Played the back nine at 7:30 and pace of play was great.

Not the place for out-of-towners who want to rent clubs. The pro shop doesn’t have the latest or greatest club sets, instead they’ll point to a dusty corner of beaten-down, mismatched clubs from the 80s & 90s. So, don’t expect last year’s demos. We were so disappointed with what we had to play with. We also had an early tee time and normally most courses’ kitchen have hot, fresh breakfast burritos to go and full bar should you want to partake in a Bloody Mary. Not this course. So, playing with shitty clubs on an empty stomach sucked. We started to feel better at the turn, because the course wa…

Fun 18 hole course with a few small lakes. Quite busy golf course. Pase of some people is extreme slow ! 1-2 holes we waited like 20 minutes. greens are sometimes a little bumpy. holes between 130-550 yards. Took us around 4-4:30 h to complete one round.

The overall condition of the fairways and greens is better than average, and the facilities are generally well maintained. However, the reason I am giving this course two stars is because of the tee time management and pace of play. Players are often sent out more than 20 minutes later than their scheduled tee times. When I played two weeks ago, we teed off about 45 minutes late, and the pace was extremely slow — the round took nearly 5 hours and 45 minutes to complete. This is not a course that allows five-somes, yet there are times when groups of five are still playing. If these issues we…

A solid public course with great value and friendly staff. The layout is fun and challenging, with tree-lined fairways and tricky greens. It can get a bit slow on busy days, but overall it’s a nice spot for a casual round. Try to book an early tee time for the best experience.

This was my first foray into Los Angeles golf and I had a great time. My experience was elevated by the staff who offered me an earlier tee time since I was a single. They also watched my luggage as I’d just gotten off a plane from the great state of New York. Also hall have coyotes on the course?!?! The fairways well well maintained and the greens were solid. Pace of play was decent. My round started a little after 8 and I was done by 12. I will definitely be back.

6 hour rounds of golf are not fun. Price is good, but some holes were in rough shape. Late summer in LA can do that, though. Price of beers and food is good. Service is good. But the pace of play is horrific. Starter was doing a good job getting people going, but after that it slowed to an absolute crawl.

Played here on a January Saturday morning. We teed off 40+ minutes after the booked tee time. There were many groups waiting, and some had tee times that didn't even exist at 4 minutes apart. Obviously someone is letting some groups in ... this happens pretty frequently but this day was the worst I've seen. The green on hole #2 is a mess with half the green with no grass, it's like year round in this condition. But lately, they stopped mowing the rough. If you miss the fairway, expect to spend quite a bit of time looking for your ball, even at a few yards away from the fairway

The course itself is ok. But plays EXTREMELY SLOW and management is garbage and impossible to work with. They let 8 foursomes go out between 4 tee time slots. My group came from out of town and had a terrible experience. Took us 4 1/2 hours to play 9 holes that they refused to comp our group for the other 9 that we couldn’t play due to other items on our itinerary

Very nice place to through an event. We did a celebration of life memorial for my mother in law and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful during and after the event. I highly recommend this location for anything from a party to an intimate gathering.

This level of negligence and greed is unacceptable. They refused to cancel our tee time even in dangerous weather, which is completely irresponsible. Because of decisions like this, they will continue to lose loyal customers. We will never return to this course. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I went there for a Saturday golf club meeting after a few years, but it was the worst golf course that had not changed at all. I had a reservation for 12/30 but there were no carts so it started at 12:50. It's always like this here so I'm not surprised. Golf fees are going up, but the serv…
