In summary

Maggie Hathaway Par 3 Golf Course is frequently praised for its affordability, friendly staff, and convenient walk-up play without the need for a tee time. The course is noted for its small, challenging greens and is considered ideal for beginners and those looking to practice their short game. While the overall conditions are generally appreciated, some visitors mention that the greens could benefit from better maintenance and the use of mats is a common feature.

The course itself is cute and, while a bit small, seems like a decent bargain. The bad review's because one of the groundskeepers tried his hardest to ruin my day. I hit into a bunker, shot to the edge, and as a new player didn't realize the etiquette of immediately cleaning it out. With one foot still in the bunker to shoot again from the bunker's rim, a groundskeeper comes up and starts cursing me out for not raking the sand. He continues yelling and cursing even after I explain I'm new and didn't know the proper etiquette but would have done it if he'd asked or after I was done in the bunk…

Fun par 3 course, conditions were pretty good. A small bucket of range balls is super cheap too at only $3. Great price and good course to get a quick 9 holes in.

I love this place for practicing and just hitting shots. The elevated greens makes it easy and challenging to execute shots with my 56 and 60 wedges. The greens are so small that it's target practice to hit them on holes 1,2,3 a tree protected 4 and sand protected 8th hole.

Loved this little par 3. Walk up no tee time required, Greens very well kept, friendly staff and great price.

Maggie is ideal for accuracy which should result in a Low Score , suggestion-don't go long and you should enjoy plus you can just walk in and play..

If I could add another star I would. Best place to play golf as a beginner in LA by far. Amazing prices. Beyond friendly staff. Complimentary water with your game. No crowds, no waiting. Great views of the planes landing in LAX Sure the grass isn’t in perfect condition but you can’t beat the value for money.

Decent conditions for a short par 3 9 hole course. Greens were a little bumpy and you have to hit off mats. Was able to finish in just under an hour with no one in front of us.

It was real nice, staff was friendly $6 for a bucket of balls at the range. Course is nice too. Could use some more hazards for a challenge and natural tee boxes if they wanted to improve the course. But it's <$10 to play and I've never waited more than 5 minutes to tee off.

The first thing I have to say is the staff at the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is A-OK. They are hands down the best thing about this course. The course itself is excellent. The longest hole is 130, but there are a few 120+ holes. The greens can use a little better maintenance, they were covered with some weed that makes it hard to putt because it makes the surface uneven. Besides that it's a great little course to work on your iron game. They have a great putting practice green, a practice bunker, and a practice chipping flag. The driving range is cool too. They give you a free bottle of water…
