In summary

Chicora Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and welcoming staff, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout, particularly on the back nine. Many appreciate the reasonable pricing and consider it a hidden gem, although some find the course layout less challenging for lower handicaps and note occasional issues with tee boxes and fairways. While the course is generally well-regarded, a few visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of certain areas and changes in management affecting the overall experience.

One of my go to courses. It's a hidden gem that's in great shape and cheap to play. It has a few strange holes but I highly recommend this course. The picture is the #2 green looking back to the fairway.

Awesome course, and the staff were some of the most friendly I’ve ever encountered. Will absolutely be back.

The staff is very polite, friendly and welcoming. The course is very well kept from fairways to greens. The pro shop is awesome. The carts are well kept and clean. Really for $45 on the weekends you cant beat it. The only thing I will say is the back 9 is not for the faint of heart. Definitely a challenge. Other than that though love playing here.

If you haven't heard of Chicora you should look into it. We played 9 holes this morning and it was great. Not the hardest course but in excellent condition. The greens are wonderful.

Love this course and usually it's in great condition by this time of year but today it was in average condition. The Greens were great as usual very challenging on some holes but that's always welcome the disappointment today Is the the Tee Box were absolutely terrible on just about every hole. Most had basically no grass and wasn't even. I love this course I live an hour away and play it 3 or 4 times a year and will continue to do so but I hope they don't let this course go down like so many have lately

I enjoy playing this course. The people in the pro shop are really friendly. The pace of play is usually pretty good. Greens are reasonably fast. Fairways are good. Worth the price. Played numerous times over the last year and not really had a bad experience

Front 9 is wide open....back 9 is diabolical with the elevation changes.....it's like a whole different course

It was freezing today, but I played well despite it. 82 from the tips. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - Nothing out of the ordinary, just some tee boxes that had more wear than others. Fairways 4/5 - The grass is dormant during the off season, so I'm going based off how well it looks vs a round played here earlier this summer. Fairways weren't plush, but other than one or two holes, were filled out well. Greens 5/5 - I really couldn't give the greens a lower score because there are no real downsides other than how they're designed to make everything in the first 3 feet fall off. The undulat…

This golf course is way over priced for the condition and lay out. Not impressed with the fairways ( no grass and couldn't tell fairway from rough) the greens were not great, it is a very long course for women. Just didn't find it to be a fun course to play and would not recommend it nor do I care to play there again. The club house was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful They also need to mark the course better, if you are not a member it is easy to get lost from one hole to the next.

Interesting layout. Front and back nines are quite different. Small greens make your approach shots more challenging. Worth playing if you haven't.
