In summary

Colbert Hills Golf Course is widely praised for its immaculate condition, creative and challenging layout, and stunning views, making it a standout destination in Kansas. The course offers a variety of tee options to accommodate different skill levels and features unique design elements like the wildcat paw-shaped bunkers. The restaurant is generally well-regarded for its atmosphere and food, although there are isolated complaints about meal quality and service issues. Some visitors have experienced booking errors or unexpected closures, but these incidents appear to be exceptions rather than the norm.

Had a great experience - round of golf and lunch - in early September 2025. Course was in fantastic shape. Immaculate greens. Excellent fairways and fair rough. Great hole layouts and scenery. Fried pickles and chicken nachos were excellent.

This is an awesome course, great condition. The course plays up to 7500 yds, so you can bite off as much as you want. Rolling hills, trouble nearly every hole. Can’t wait for my next trip back.

We had lunch in the restaurant by the pro shop and it was really great all the way around. Service atmosphere and food were great and less expensive than fast food. A rare experience in today's world

Love this course. Played it for the first time today. I’m a 56 year old 6.5 handicap and played from the purple (middle) tees. The fairways are ample. The rough is penal but fair. A couple of holes I took less club off the tee than I could have simply because I hadn’t played the course before. I could have hit driver but didn’t recognize that areas I thought were hazard were simply rough between split fairways. The 5th hole is a 165 yard par 3 with a cool bunkers shaped like a wildcat paw (for KState) with purple sand. Do NOT hit it in here because the bunker shot is extremely difficult! The…

Great views of the hills. Awesome service. Cozy place to relax. Tasty food! Will definitely return here in the future to try another lovely dish! The food was fresh. We were able to get a table large enough for our party. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well.

Not what you would expect from a course in the middle of Kansas. Layout was super creative and well thought out. Awesome views and great photo opps! Survive the front 9, attack the back 9. Massive greens that rolled as true as they could with all the unfixed ball marks (!!!???!). The purple cat paw bunkers were a lovely touch on hole 5 😅. All around a 5 star experience, just wish the restaurant would have been open that Chipotle wrap looked so good!

Drove two hours on a 35-40 degree sunny day to play the course, was told when I got there the course was closed for the day because it was too cold. There was no mention of that being a possibility when I called and booked the tee time two days prior.

Colbert Hills is one of the best golf courses I've played, especially compared to the expensive country clubs in kansas city. Every hole is unique and challenging. Not to mention the spectacular views, great practice facilities, and the food is great too!

This course is definitely worth a visit. Condition is great and very interesting llay out. The only thing is they charge me the wrong green fees. Weekday after 3 pm is $65, and they charged me $90. I'm still waiting for their response. Hopefully, they will make the corrections for me. I left a message and they call me back the very next day. They fixed their error immediately and refund the overcharge.
