What People Say

In summary

Wamego Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, friendly and helpful staff, and the challenging layout, particularly the demanding back nine. Many visitors appreciate the small-town charm and the club's ability to host events successfully. However, some express frustration over the membership restrictions and the perceived high cost of playing, as well as occasional issues with scheduling and accessibility for non-members.

I use to run a cross country meet here and it was absolutely awful, and for that reason I loved it. Also beat my older brother here. Not in the cross country race just physically because he was being mean. I did also beat him in the cross country race though. Hes like 2 years older and didnt take it well. But he was always really the younger brother at heart.

I’ve only been to the country club for the state XC meet each year. It’s always very well kept and the grounds are beautiful! The meet is very well ran and fun to watch the athletes run the course!

Enjoyed myself at an 'all class' reunion at this location. It was just large enough to accommodate with most of us spilling out on the deck. Great bartenders!

So for some perspective here. I just played Colbert hills in Manhattan that’s a PGA rated course that’s monthly cost is 250 that includes a cart there. I live in Wamego I used to play the course till they got all upity and decided to become a CC. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful course but not for the price they are asking

Tale of Two Nines Great little course in small town. Front nine dates from 1920s. Wide open and up and down. Back nine carved out of the hardwood forest with narrow fairways and cart path only. Worth the effort.

Wasn't happy.. didn't get to golf cause we wasn't members of the club.. 🤐but had $$ to spend like everyone else@ the club.. terrible I gotta drive to other side Manhattan to golf, when I live 5 miles from Wamego golf course.. and a lifetime resident of the community..

Called and had a tee time for 9:30. Drove over and they don't open until 11. I think they need to train the staff better.
