In summary

Colonial Country Club is highly praised for its beautiful course, well-maintained greens, and friendly, accommodating staff. Many appreciate the fast, smooth greens and the overall condition of the course, making it a desirable place to play. However, some visitors have noted issues with food quality and service, as well as occasional concerns about pace of play and treatment of non-members.

Went for a “member for the day” deal. The course and greens were in ok shape for this time of the year. Some drainage issues but nothing crazy. At hole 9 one of the club house employees came out and told us we were 10-15 off pace and we needed to split up our 4 or skip a hole. We finished the front 9 in 2 hr 10 min. We could have been faster but no one was bsing between shots or taking long over the ball. We had no one pushing us and felt like we were making ok time. For 80 dollars I’m not skipping hole 10 when people are stopping at the turn anyways. We are respectful golfers, and fill our di…

Layout is excellent. Best staff I've encountered in years. Great bunker edging. The course isn't difficult so they moved tee boxes way back. 400+ par 4s is not an easy fun day of golf. Par 5s from reds are still 420. It's like designer realized routing didn't turn out as hard as he'd hoped.for.so he lengthened tee boxes. I play for fun, not difficulty. Greens won't stop rolling. Not becasue of undulations just becasue they're so smooth and crisp (bermuda) you can't get a putt to stop, including up hill. Staff made me feel like they wanted me there. Being a private course pace of play was e…

Played here for the first time today. This course is very nice and super fast greens. If you have an opportunity to come play here I highly recommend you play here. The pro shop has a bunch of cool stuff as well!!! Definitely recommend this course!

Don't get me wrong course fantastic. It is the staff and lack of GPS per price to play. Double charged for range balls that are initially free. And being singled out for a technically and then brought with hostility when it being pointed how every single person around is also like that is just a lovely way to set the standard.

Course is in great shape. The greens were running super fast. Much faster than the championship course in Tanglewood Park. It's a wide open course. Very comfortable golf carts. The only downside is that it's a private course. None members can get a pass through the Carolina Golf Association though. Great course!

Such a beautiful course with amazing fairways and greens. Nice and long but still able to finish in less than 3 hours with a twosome. Pretty confident I set the course record. Loved it. Would recommend getting a full membership here. If not for the bar and banquet hall, the tasty food/beverages, friendly staff and other amenities, the golf course would be worth membership alone. Practice range was the thingonly 9/10. There were limited targets and some dirt you might be hitting into but it’s a driving range using good grass with unlimited balls. Great grass all around. Can’t stress how amazing…
