In summary

Colts Neck Golf Club receives praise for its well-maintained course, interesting layout, and friendly staff, with some reviewers highlighting the club's amenities and welcoming atmosphere. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the condition of the greens, slow pace of play, and the course being perceived as overpriced by some visitors. While many appreciate the overall experience and value, others feel that improvements in course maintenance and pricing would enhance the offering.

This is, hands down, the most overpriced course I’ve played in the U.S. The owners must be living in an alternate universe with these rates. For what you pay, you’d expect immaculate conditions and a premium experience…instead, the course is well below average and plays like a municipal track. Save your money.

Absolutely outrageous that you pay 122 dollars for bumpy greens that are in horrid shape and tee boxes you can barely hit off. Also not too mention that its end of October and your charging that rate insane! I work at a golf course these conditions were a joke for the price they charge! Much nicer courses all around monmouth county for much cheaper!! I would play both Charlestons, howell park, etc all before playing here! Was very excited extremely let down! Not recommended to play.

Nice course. I play here occasionally if I can't get a time at a Monmouth county course. Conditions are usually very good. It can be a little pricey on weekends, but $55 is a great value for weekday mornings. It's very walkable and not hilly at all. It's public/private and there are some benefits like earlier tee times and alcohol purchasing for the members. The members from what I've seen are very much a retired 60+ demographic, but I still like to play there. I've never felt like I was out of place even though I'm younger and play solo a lot. I do wish they had more room to expand the club…

I recently joined in February and am completely blown away and satisfied with Colts Neck Golf Club. As a 27 year old, I was able to join the "Under 30" membership and it works perfectly for me. The course is a great track to learn how to really start to score, but is incredibly challenging regardless of skill level. The clubhouse and staff are in my opinion outstanding. I find anything here hard to complain about. The new grounds crew has done such an astounding job of getting this place in incredible shape. Seriously, it plays better than all of the public tracks around the area. I'd give…

It is a beautiful golf course. The fairway is nice, the tee box is well maintained, and the green is ok. The issue I had was that the tee box at some of the hole is very close to each other, and the fairway between each hole is also pretty close. To a not so great golfer, it will be a nightmare.

Played at Colts Neck Golf Club on Saturday and it was a disaster. We waited nearly 20 minutes after our team for a cart, which meant that getting 18 was going to be in jeopardy under the best of circumstances. Every hole was a torturous wait with no one group being to blame as the entire course was backed up. On the par 4 5th hole there were 5 groups on the same hole, When we made the turn to the tenth tee there were already 3 groups on the hole. At this point we were 3 hours and 10 minutes into our round and decided to turn around and leave. The most disappointing part of all of this was that…

Colts Neck Golf Club is a true gem among golf courses. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the immaculate conditions of the course and the warm hospitality of the staff. The course itself is a masterpiece, carefully maintained with beautiful fairways, challenging greens, and stunning scenery. The staff at Colts Neck goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable golfing experience. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist. The clubhouse is a delightful place to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and unwind after a round of golf. The food is great, and the service is am…

Great course, shot the best round of my life there. Only bad point was being rushed by the duo behind us (we were a group of 4) as we were averaging 33 minutes above pace and staff still said something to us about keeping pace. Otherwise Great course!

What a great track. Golf course is in great shape and challenging. We went into the grill room for lunch and everything was stellar. The wait staff was welcoming and the food was amazing. I already booked a tee time for next week! No need to be a member to enjoy the grill room. This place is a must. Highly recomend!

I played this course for the 1st time today. While I enjoyed the layout of the course, the greens were in poor condition. The back 9 greens were a little better than the front but still not great. Also, the fairways had bald spots in some areas closer to the greens. I’ve found other courses in Monmouth County to be in much better condition than Colts Neck Golf Club.

The golf instructor, “Carter” is amazing—such a phenomenal teacher. Carter has my beginner son swinging so well and has him both on the golf course and at the driving range so he’s learning form/swing as well as strategies for being on the course and all of the etiquette and rules that are so essential to know to be a good player for life. I highly recommend Carter for anyone who wants to learn golf or wants to improve on their skills. The club itself is really friendly and super clean. I spoke with a few people who said that they left elite Monmouth County clubs in order to join Colts Neck C…

Great layout, overall good condition, nice staff. Greens need some extra love though, especially since it unfortunately seems not a single player cleans up their ball marks on a weekend. We will definitely be back!
