In summary

Columbia Golf Course in Minneapolis is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among city courses. The course features a scenic setting with views of the downtown skyline, and offers a mix of par 3s and varied terrain that appeals to both seasoned golfers and newcomers. While some visitors mention that the pace of play can slow during peak times, and the course can be tough to walk due to its hills, these factors do not overshadow the overall positive experience.

Played Columbia Golf Course for the first time. I’m pretty new to golf, so the narrow fairways made it a real challenge—you’ve gotta keep it straight or it’ll punish you quick. But honestly, that’s half the fun. Price wasn’t bad either, especially with a cart. I’ve lived in Minneapolis my whole life and somehow never made it out here before. I’m usually just at the driving range, but the course itself was beautiful and well worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back to give it another shot.

I’ve been a resident of Minneapolis for 30 years 15 years downtown and now 15 years one block from Columbia golf course and I will say one of the main reasons my wife and I moved here was because of this golf course and park area. It is the best of the 5 Minneapolis courses, and for the golfers who believe they are single handicap, this course will quickly humble you. Joe runs a tight ship at this course and it is maintained extremely well for a city course or for any course really in the metro area. I would say definitely come out and play this course and give it a try, But that would be a li…

Very well maintained, especially for a city course! The holes are fun and challenging and I’m a BIG FAN of multiple par 3’s on the front and back. The course is very walkable minus a few long treks (there are some good short cuts). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Play does get a little slow especially on league nights, but it’s rare you are waiting more than a few minutes. We LOVE Columbia 🤗

I hadn't played Columbia for a few years. Overall, the course was in very good shape. Greens were great. There are a few holes on the back 9 that were pretty wet with some minor fairway repair, but nothing dramatic. A good value close to the city.

Favorite course of the Minneapolis city courses. Sometimes it gets backed up on saturday mid-day but that’s expected. A healthy amount of hills makes this course tough but reasonable to walk 18, although the worst hill is after 16. Also, this course had the same number of reviews as Theo Wirth so I wanted to break the tie.

Perhaps the best Minneapolis golf course. Many unique holes, typically in decent shape, solid amenities and practice area.

Great cross country trails for skiers and skate-skiers. Sledding hills have dangerous areas or drops roped off for safety. Snow was great. Only disappointment was that the club house was closed. We could not get hot cocoa after sledding or skiing as one can at Clifford French Park in Plymouth.

The course is now fully open on all 18 holes. The greens are in pretty good conditions. When I think of golf, I think of Columbia heights most of the times because I got my first hole in one on hole 17 in this back in 97.

Wonderful city course! Greens in great condition. Course has a nice layout, challenging enough for low handicaps, and forgiving for those newer to the game. Usually prefer to ride, but course can be easily walked if that is your preference. Staff was really friendly. Definitely will return.

Nice course - price time weekends a little pricey. Definitely played hard but a good city course. Definitely a hard walking course. Clubhouse is OK. Nice staff.
