Theodore Wirth Golf Course

I played today and I am extremely disappointed about the condition of this course! I’ve played over 20 different public courses this summer and this was by far the worst! We haven’t had any substantial rain for at least a week yet this course still has washed out and rutted areas on the fairways, cart paths and bunkers! Numerous fairways have large patches of dirt, sand bunkers have grass & weeds growing in them as well as washed out edges. The cart paths are terrible: rutted and large bumps and wash outs. I've golfed all across the country and this course was by far in worse condition than any I've ever encountered. If Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, I sure hope they included this course otherwise they need to change their license plates. I understand it's rained a lot but the other 4 courses I golfed, including one in a major downpour, didn't flood. This course is poorly maintained, has zero drainage and as a result is a torn up mud pit from tee box to greens. Golfed 18 here during a week day morning. Quite busy here, nice little club house. Only knock they had sake for screwdrivers and bloody marys. Thought I would try one and found fruit flies in both attempts. Maybe just get canned drinks here. Everything else was above average, very fun course! Highly recommend getting a golf cart.

We went here for a wedding tonight ...nice little intimate venue . A little distracted when gold cards are going during nuptials..but still great spot for a small wedding. Has a separate bar area and dance hall. There is a patio with corn hole. Free parking ... bathrooms inside and outside. Check out the spot if you have a wedding coming up.

Mature trees, beginner friendly, and lots of wildlife on the property. Great place to chase around golf balls.

Had lunch at Wirth Bar & Grill. Cute setting in the historic clubhouse plus a patio. Tidy, friendly staff, nice views. This is a public course so all are welcome.

DO NOT PLAY HERE!! Genuinely anywhere else within a 30 mile radius would be a better decision. It was almost $100 for two people playing 18 and yet the maintenance was arguably the worst I’ve seen in all of Minnesota. Most of the greens have blotches all over and the fairways are equally as atrocious. Not worth your time or money

Great layout for a course. But thats all it has going for it. Quite possibly the absolute worst conditioned golf course I think I've ever played. The entire hole 9 fairway is mud and swamp. Multiple holes in awful awful shape. Still charging 70 bucks on top of that. Consider literally any other course instead.

This is the course where I first learned to golf not so long ago. Hnmm about twenty something years ago. I moved out of the area but still come golf here a few rounds per year. I like course for the sceneries and layout. Book a tee time you won't be disappointed.

I've been playing this course on and off for years, and know what to expect. Today, however, I was shocked by the condition. Half of the fairway & rough could be considered ground under repair, and the greens were littered with massive pitch marks and dead spots. Probably my last time playing this track, sad that they cant keep it in decent shape as the layout and views are solid.
